Why does Paul after 1966 say "you know" so much as if it's a nervous tick. If you watch his other interviews it's obvious he isn't the political one of the group and he's more meek.
it's great paul admits they take so much influence from other artists. nobody today talks about how much of the beatles' songwriting was synthesized from contemporaries who did it first, some people even go so far as to deny it, and yet the beatles themselves said it openly!
@tripper85 plural means more than one. ie more than one mister is Messrs - instead of saying mister lennon and mister mccartney, he said Messrs lennon and mccartney.
@tripper85 the fact that you didn't understand what messrs meant, i thought there was a high probability you didn't know what plural meant either. and i'm not being sarcastic when i say this.
1:00-1:15 when The Beatles were together Reporters would ask them "hey you ever think about going out on your own and braking up" and when they Broke up the question was always "When are the Beatles getting back together?" fuck man you can't please the media
George Harrison was such a sexpot with his thick, wavy hair and beautiful features. The man was damn fine! Paul's witty comeback in re "Day Tripper" was funny. On a related note, such services were not taxed. They are not even included in "Taxman" in 1966, lol. The boys give good interviews.
thanks for posting the interview, however, I wish that you hadn't titled it that way. Day Tripper is about John discovering that you can just take one tab of LSD during the day and fall asleep that night, and Norwegian Wood was meant as a message to his current wife that he had just cheated on her. I am citing The Beatles Anthology here, for Norwegian Wood, and I think it might be a Rolling Stone Interview with John about the Day Tripper bit. Thanks again for posting! I love interviews!
What sense of humors, among other talants! However, I feel sorry for George who wasn't asked any questions. It's possible there's more to this interview, but I can't find it. Four sexy, witty men...I love you all..Toni
I bet George was annoyed the reporter asked John and Paul about one of his songs, even if it was a combative and ridiculous question. There's nothing in 'Norwegian Wood' indicating it's about a lesbian, though a Beatles song about a lesbian might have been interesting.
@NotADood Norwegian Wood is a Lennon song that George played sitar on. That was his contribution to the song, but Lennon wrote is about an affair he was having.
