@millsix Under NATO we were required to assist in Afganistan, to the best of my knowledge no vote or debate was required for military action in assisting our allies, the Minister of National Defense advised the Governor General to authorize Canadian Military Personel to assist NATO tho we did not assist in the initial invasion. Now on Iraq, again I don't think there was any vote. Under NATO we were not required to help. I thank my lucky stars to this day we didn't have Harper in control then.
