honestly the best way to learn chord structure is to learn the names of the notes on the fretboard and then your major scale form. from there you can make you own chords and actually learn them, although bar chords are by far the easiest and probably should be looked up. after that you can look up other scales (minor, diminished, augmented) and change the major scale and form those chords. but you really need to learn the notes, once you do that it opens the guitar up to learning chords
im no newbe... im just retraceing my steps and putting names with the chords i already have used and trying to understand the theory behind it... so the redundancy is helpful. he is a good teacher for any level of skill, also, I HATE YOUTUBE NAZIS!

Not trying to be an ass, but do you teach humans or monkeys?
People are not retarded no need to say: "2nd string" and point and hit the string.
Instead of confusing most beginners by enumerating all the strings 4 times, just draw a diagram, its much easier to look at some drawn and figure out them replaying your vid 10 times till you get it.
Humans. Keep doing what you're doing dude, this guy really is an ass.
Besides, almost all diagrams put up on youtube don't make sense to newbie guitarists and you need to go though some techniques string-y-string and fret-by-fret before they will be able to understand any diagrams at all.
Besides, the different between a $50 textbook and a $500 course is that someone's there to talk about the subject instead of drawing diagrams.
The difference between a free video and a 500$ course is that theres an expert correcting all the few little errors that can only be detected while seeing the student play.
Sorry but every1 i know, i mean every human being that plays guitar i know, knows how to read tabs and diagrams, its the easiest and most simple thing in the world.
If you dont know how to read them you should learn, you wont progress until you do.
Im not trying to be an ass, for me 1 min. spent for every note is to much.
I for one know how to play guitar, nevermind read diagrams. But I was a beginner also.
As I said, this is one very rare teacher who does EXACTLY what beginners need. People like you and I can take the extra 4 seconds to go download a Guitar Pro tab if we're so amazing. But what are the newbies gonna do?
Well they'll keep pulling their hair out, I know cause I was in that position and most video lessons assume you know SOME stuff about playing guitar.
