If you want a red dot, get a schoenfeld 1x45 red dot. Mine has been shot 20+ times and still words great. Also, spotting scopes with eye relief are great if you can't tell if that player out there is a rock or not :P
It's called Eye Relief and you're going to want about 3"+ eye relief if you put a scope on your gun. You're also going to want to check the FOA and make sure you get a nice wide view 30'+ so you can see a large area.
Im trying to put a Sniper scope on my Tippman Pro/Carbine, but it doesnt have weaver rails. Do i need to buy a weaver rail for the gun or can i just get a certain type of scope??? PLEASE HELP!
Hey get an old i mean old 98 and put a stock and a drop forward and remote and air but a zero kit hammer it will shoot so straight without you even trying to aim
everything depends on your barrel and paint. i have a red dot on a 20 inch j&j with apex tip and i hit pretty much level out till the paint stops breaking
a combat scope is as far as you want to go. i use a replica ACOG with All stars paintballs and they will hit the target every single time. with a proper scope however you are never going to be able to see through it or aim properly.
It's possible to use hunting scopes, which usually have larger relief to keep scopes from hitting eyes due to recoil. But this narrows your field of view, so it's mixed usefulness. Great for long range hunting, not so much paintball. Still, i'd be interested to see how one would work as a spotting scope. People had a lot of issues with positioning and friendly fire in LL4, and a good goggle spotting scope would work great. Someone should invent one. That or a cheap digital zoom eyepiece.
what we seem to be talking about through most of this video is called EYE RELIEF, make sure an optic you use has enough eye relief to compinsate for your goggles.
I am thinking about taking my old dot sight from my AR15 to use for paintball (woodsball) just for fun to see if i can make it usefull. good to hear someone elses experience with this kind of thing. cheers
if i were to get a scope i would: take a small soup can carefully cut off both ends drill 4 holes in it take 2 peices of wire stick them through the holes knot them and then duct tape it to the side of top of my gun BAM instant cheap large field of view scope :)
@GhostReconPaintball why would you buy that you know that's how I can pick off a call of duty player on the field by asking about their attachments if they say holographic sight or acog scope or another way saying they have a thermal sight mask lens that one cracks me up xD anyways sights are lame I find them pointless most of the time since most markers have a centerfeed
@GhostReconPaintball The Sight doesn't make it accurate, it depends on the barrel, and the paint your using, I dont know why the hell you went and bought a $600 sight (HUGE waste of money btw) but that's not making your gun accurate. it's your barrel and the paint.
the red dot and scope made by tiberius are really tough metal and i have been hit on there twice an they still work, for anyone looking on buying a good one for around $50
Scopes anything 3X +, are useless. 1X and 2X red dots, holo sights are the only actual optics that help in PB. It just helps my reflexes when I see the red dot.
what the fuck is a fiberoptic-red dot, that doesnt exist this guy has no idea about optics and needs 10 minutes to explain that they dont work with your mask ..
the thing is... scope aren't meant to be pressed right up against your eye because scopes were made for real fire arms with recoil so the scope should be about an inch or an inch and a half away from your eye i respect you mike but scopes do work...
Hey there bud if you are that smart about everything paintball. You should already know that you have to use a long eye relief scope, so that you can get a great view from 12- 16 inches away. Because your video is stating the fukin obvious .
@BrowningThirty , you obviously know everything bud, you've never wanted to scope out while playing woodsplay, maybe cause you play in the back alley in your sister and maybe that kinda thing isn't needed for you
@Brizzzy54 And you obviously know nothing about me. Take a look at my Alias and Trilogy videos on my channel. You'll see that I play out in the sprawling New Mexico desert, the ideal location for the use of a scope. However, on a paintball gun, they're still useless due to the fact that a paintball loses accuracy or ability to break at around 75 yards, a distance where a scope is excessive and a hinderance on target acquisition. Just because I disagree, doesn't mean I don't know my shit.
@BrowningThirty , ya im sure you are a real tough guy, i didn't say anything about using the scope to shoot targets, inaccuracy and distance is not there, i'm saying in woodsball, a clump of trees , and you are trying to get a visual on the enemy , as to set up a plan of attack. Think of it this way, we are out there having fun and pretending to be shooting people, well come on who cares what people have on guns, realism is a thrill of the game especially in woodsball. Like ghilliie suits ect.
@Brizzzy54 Where in my comments did you get any "tough guy" or "dick" vibes? I'm stating facts that I've learned from my experiences, and I've found that a scope serves little to no purpose on a paintball gun.
@junits15 who the fuck is Mike? I was just lippin off. Hey why don't you just go eat some tender vittles you pussy instead of sticking your gay face in other peoples shit
Since you're not as fan of the sights and scopes, what do you recommend for the best way to sight a target on your gun? Muscle memory? Barrel line? Also, where'd you get/make your silencer? I must have one...
@macgyver2210 It's not a silencer, it's an Apex barrel tip. It uses a rubber flap to backspin on your paintballs and allows for curving shots in different directions as well as far and flat trajectory shots. There's a newer model out, the APEX2, that functions the same but is thinner and longer, has more settings for the flap and is priced the same as the original. You can find them on most online paintball stores and probably your local paintball shop for around $45
@bufaloo2132 depends on what marker you have if you have a Tippmann or something lik that you shuld not be using it for airball and any speedball/airball gun will have nowhere to put a red dot sight
my red dot sight has been hit atleast 4 times in each game that I play just becuase of the way that I play and it's perfectly fine. It's just a regular sight with clear plastic covers over the glass lenses. All I gotta do is wipe it off and I'm good to go, all though, if I do get it hit during a game I can't see anything because there's a pink blob blocking my view for the rest of the game but the next game I'm good to go because I wiped it off.
sorry, mike, but I have to disagree. my red dot sight has been shot several times, and I can still aim accurately. if you have a good mask, good barrel, good sight, your accuracy and play goes up tenfold.
what about good masks, like the Invert Avatar? I can aim down fine with that, it goes maybe half an inch from my face, which is the standard scope distance
a rifle scope is suppose to be atleast an inch away from your face, because when they are used on real guns (which is what they are designed for) if you put your eye right up against it, the rifle is going to recoil and then hurt your, so I dont really see how a riflescope wouldnt be effective in paintball
A red dot can work but your marker has too be very accurate for it too work any other type of scope is just bad and adds pointless wait too your marker. If you know your marker and where it shoots you don't need one at all if you must have a spotting scope find a Pistol long eye relief scope. Many of the scenario markers with stocks have a big problem that your mask pushes your face to far away from your marker for you too even look threw the scope as my brother found out with his Tiberus
I used a red dot sight today, and holy moly it improved my game so much. Yea, it does nothing for the range/elevation but when you're trying to aim at a hopper and the edge of a mask sticking out, that little help makes a world of difference.
And on the subject of price, I got mine in the airsoft section of my local sports store, for a whopping $10
It's very durable, well built, 11 brightness modes, I'm incredibly happy with it
you dont even put a scope on your eye that goes with real guns and paintball you are supossecd to have your eye an inch a way from e ascope in the firstplace
It's too bad you don't research anything like ballistics before you blather on about something you obviously know little or nothing about. Rifle [firearm] shots DO IN FACT RISE before they fall. Oh yeah...just like a paintball. The thing about optics is that you actually have to do some work with it BEFORE playing with it...you know...like...sight it in at a SPECIFIC DISTANCE?? The ONLY thing you are correct on is eye relief.
PSP Ramping - Ramping kicks in after 3 shots; player must maintain 5 bps to remain firing fully automatic. Rate of fire cannot exceed 15 bps.
NXL Ramping - Ramping kicks in after 3 shots; player need only hold down the trigger to maintain fully automatic fire. Rate of fire cannot exceed 15 bps.
Millennium Ramping - Ramping kicks in after 7.5 bps; player must maintain 7.5 bps to maintain fully automatic fire. Rate of fire cannot exceed 15 bps.
I have a tippmann 98 custom with a 4X15 cheap airsoft scope...I just put it on my gun 2day and I was wandering at what distance should i dial it in at? i was thinking 50-100ft. but i have no idea...I play speedball an other field (no clue what its called) about 2 or 3 times a small or medium speedball field thx and happy paintballing
@famouusss yup...and it's not that bad cause somtimes ill play with people useing ego 10s and minis and still win...Paintball isn't about laying a blanket of paint over a bunker hopeing one hits them...it's about trying to outsmart the other team and get angles on them...also i have almost no money for paintballs so it helps me "conserv amo"
a REAL reflex sight that uses positive parallax occlusion would be useful. no matter where you look through the sight, it will always point to where you want it to shoot, its kinda trippy XD. there 300-800 bucks though >8O
If thats his woodsball setup, I BELIEVE it is his freak barrel, with the 10 in Apex ready tip. The tank is a Crossfire, probably a 68/4500. Though I can't be 100% sure.
A lot of scopes have eye relief. In fact, scopes that you have to put up to your eye are far and few between. This is because of the recoil from the firearm it's used on. Should you put your eye on the scope, ten to one, you'll probably be walking away with a black eye.
@Metalrasputian never ever put your eye on a sniper rifle scoop.....my friend did that and a black eye!, everyone thought he got jumped or something!!
why dont you learn more on rifle scopes they arnt made to be put up right to your eye so it will work with your mask on

you dont even put a scope on your eye that goes with real guns and paintball you are supossecd to have your eye an inch a way from e ascope in the firstplace
NCSGDIZZYSHOOTER21 1 year ago
It's too bad you don't research anything like ballistics before you blather on about something you obviously know little or nothing about. Rifle [firearm] shots DO IN FACT RISE before they fall. Oh yeah...just like a paintball. The thing about optics is that you actually have to do some work with it BEFORE playing with it...you know...like...sight it in at a SPECIFIC DISTANCE?? The ONLY thing you are correct on is eye relief.

hey does anybody know the difference between psp ramping and psp milenuim
theXpaintball 1 year ago
@theXpaintball

You should try to make some hd videos. during your woodsball vids it gets kindof hard to see if you make it Full screen. still love your videos mike.

@paintballtechpb It seems to me you're more of a milsim paintball player than a speed ball player. Do you have a preference?

I agree, with practice on the apex settings, anyone 100 to 150ft away is sitting duck with my holographic/apex combo.

I have a tippmann 98 custom with a 4X15 cheap airsoft scope...I just put it on my gun 2day and I was wandering at what distance should i dial it in at? i was thinking 50-100ft. but i have no idea...I play speedball an other field (no clue what its called) about 2 or 3 times a small or medium speedball field thx and happy paintballing
tlppkp12 1 year ago
@tlppkp12 you play speedball with a 98 custom?!
famouusss 1 year ago
@famouusss yup...and it's not that bad cause somtimes ill play with people useing ego 10s and minis and still win...Paintball isn't about laying a blanket of paint over a bunker hopeing one hits them...it's about trying to outsmart the other team and get angles on them...also i have almost no money for paintballs so it helps me "conserv amo"
tlppkp12 1 year ago
@famouusss lol thats what all the feilds here have for rentals then the woods ball field has GTi's lol

a REAL reflex sight that uses positive parallax occlusion would be useful. no matter where you look through the sight, it will always point to where you want it to shoot, its kinda trippy XD. there 300-800 bucks though >8O

What Barrel and hpa tank is that?
TheMrsam95 1 year ago
@TheMrsam95 well the tank looks like a crossfire 68/4500 and I really don't know the barrel, but I do know that it has an apex tip on it.
Olskoolbeats 1 year ago
If thats his woodsball setup, I BELIEVE it is his freak barrel, with the 10 in Apex ready tip. The tank is a Crossfire, probably a 68/4500. Though I can't be 100% sure.
Critchie23 1 year ago
A lot of scopes have eye relief. In fact, scopes that you have to put up to your eye are far and few between. This is because of the recoil from the firearm it's used on. Should you put your eye on the scope, ten to one, you'll probably be walking away with a black eye.
Metalrasputian 1 year ago 27
@Metalrasputian I thought it was rare to even find scopes you put your eye to.
HollyTheFireNinja 1 year ago
@Metalrasputian Lol that happened to me first time i shot a deer. exept it hit me inbetween each eye and i looked like a raccoon with two black eyes
WamblyWallaby 1 year ago
@Metalrasputian never ever put your eye on a sniper rifle scoop.....my friend did that and a black eye!, everyone thought he got jumped or something!!
skyeric875 1 year ago
@Metalrasputian this is paintball you idiot. recoil is almost non existent
MajorOPayne 1 year ago
@MajorOPayne Rifle scopes are used on real fire arms, hence why they have eye relief. You idiot...
