  • excessive Overtime? If the lasd want to work to feed the family let them

  • Clip from 1.14 is also shown on a DVD shown at a union meeting at Warwick last year.

  • I don't work in the industry but don't vote for Liberal\Labor or The Nationals there all keen on work choices and are raping my future and my kids if I have any. Vote for an independent candidate that's telling the other governments there traitors and not doing the will of the Australian people but have other interests. I though the politicians are meant to do what we want like slaves not a role reversal like were slaves stuff them.

  • I dig what this video is saying, but isn't the CFMEU promoting a Labor vote in the coming 2007 elections? I trust neither Labor nor Liberal, neither Republican nor Democrat, in my mind politicians are puppets relatively strung together on the one stage playing opposing roles for the a corporate elite directorship.

  • I appreciate what this video is saying, but isn't the Forestry, Mining and Construction Union calling for a Labor vote in the 2007 Australian election? I trust neither Labor nor Liberal, Republicans nor Democrats, in my mind politicians are puppets relatively strung together on the same stage playing opposing roles for the one corporate elite directorship.

  • ..And remember work is not your democratic right, It is you duty to serve Little Johnny and your Country!!

  • Thank you for making this film. I hope it gets out to the hearts and minds of all workers. If this is our future then get me outta here!!!

  • Everyone deserves to be treated fairly before the law. This is merely trying to expose what happens when natural justice is denied.

  • Richo, this is the other side of the story. When ordinary working families can face jail terms and fines for standing up for their safety in a workplace, in an industry where one worker every week dies at work - there is something seriously wrong with the laws that govern our society. These laws created by the Howard Government are immoral. Congratulations for Constructing Fear for exposing them for what they are.

  • In the building industry the unions got us better pay and conditions, took us from eating our lunch on rubbish piles to portable kitchens. These laws are corrupt. They are about ensuring there is no safe working environment and being spied on by the ABCC and putting unions out of business. Name any employers who have been fined and jailed by the ABCC Richo move into the 21st century instead of being like Howard and being obsessed with reducing wages and conditions.

    T.G.

  • Richo, you don't want a balanced view. You want to see the same old rubbish that the government has been rolling out for years.

Quite frankly, this is a refreshing change to the dribble being produced by the commercial media.

    Excellent work.

    The reason these lasws

  • Nice "one sided" story boyz. What about the reasons for these laws or is union bullying/threats/stand over tactics & abuse of union power by some cfmeu officlas for decades not too palatible for you to include in this union propaganda. Having worked in thi industry for 20 years & experinced this bs why not ask for a balanced view. As for the perth rail dispute wnat to ask the boys on site what they felt after some one was sacked, of cours enot. Why tell th ebloody truth!

    Richo.
