@FanRailer You may not believe me, but every now and then I encounter experience of people who claim that these trains can do 70, rare but I would;nt be surprised. Many of the compenants in these trains are similar to ones found within BART.
@saveus444 oh don't worry, there's no question these trains can do slightly over 70, next time i go back, i'm going to take video out the fast suburbian sections of the red, orange and blue lines to see if i can actually catch a set going that fast. In fact, the section that is limited at 75 on the blue line in the description, iirc, the train hit 65-67... and on BART, fastest i've seen is 71.
NYC Trainst trans can go up to 40 MPH... especially an R160 which tops 50 on express in brooklyn

depending on which type of car, there is a better view out the front or even no view at all, Rarely though
