  • sic jai = A vegetarian meal usually eat by monk..but some Chinese will make that for worship, and eat on that day..It usually have mushroom..A good example would be the meal at temple in Lan Tau island

  • @wantanmien when someone dies/passes away , we fast, eating no meats, only vegetables thus honoring the deceased AND invoking the Chinese Gods.. In it true style, I think the Buddhist monks partake of this vegetarian cuisine as a way of honoring the gods. I hope I explained that right Sik Ja pronounced Sick JI

  • i will give a try for the steamed fish! steamed fish is so hard to cook cos u never know how long u hv to steam it

  • @ganieeee if you have a steamer pot its pretty easy my mom usually cook it for 20 min in a steamer,it depends how big the fish is too.

  • that looked really nice, I don't trust myself with cooking a whole fish though.. I'm scared I will mess it up

    電池爐有keep warm ,100度,130度跟住上,請問那一個是慢火,那一個是猛火

  • @icacsaree 你好, 水滾才放入魚蒸, 用大火, 魚蒸熟立刻取出, 蒸太欠魚不好食. 我不知道你的爐, 因我看不見火力不能說, 我的是最高 9 度, 最小是 1 度, 通常 keep warm 我用 1 或 2 度, ( 我用的是電, 自動控制夠熱度上下 ), 希望能幫你. 祝新年快樂 <3

  • @icacsaree 你好, 鑊熱佐放油,和先放油等鑤熱沒有什麼大分別, 但如油熱可以放薑絲, 不用等. 至於熱水將個碟整熱,作用係, 碟凍, 放落魚後很快魚也凍, 所以放熱水坐熱碟些, 令魚保持溫度, 蒸魚凍不好食 :-D
