@cacey31 some people never live in a dorm, they just live near campus as a freshmen. Its really a matter of preference. Unless you want to live in an apartment on-campus, which are limited to sophomores and above.

Florida State is a good school, I graduated 09. The football team may be struggling, but Strozier library the Leach workout center and the Student Union are the best facilities in the state. Tallahassee is a very interesting place as it has the feel of a major college town along with having some of Florida's most historic buildings and districts being the state capital. Just don't live behind the clubs on tennessee street off campus, you will never sleep.
