As interviewer Alex Jones talked way too much. Also he did not seem to understand much of what Peter Joseph was talking about. Even to the point that Alex thought he was being attacked by Peter, while obviously he was not.
In order to point out flaws, one first has to listen to the idea presented.
Since we can not talk and listen well at the same time, the talk/listen ratio for serious thought exchange should be like 10/90 % one way. The 10% being there for error correction: asking for definitions, clearing up small stuff. Next comes the response, same thing 10/90 % ratio. This prevents many misunderstandings.
In other words: learn the 'language' of the other person first, then continue.
alex jones did the same thing to bill cooper. so i agree, there's a certain 'ego' thing going on there. i see him as the 'populist' side of the truth movement. i mean, if he gets people at least thinking about these things for themselves, he can't be all bad. means to an end, after all...

I used to respect Alex Jones for having the balls to get up on a platform and spread the info he was spreading even though i had my suspicions that he was a complete douchebag, seeing the almost schizophrenic way he reacted to Peter proved to me that Alex is in it for the ego and the money ... but mostly ego ..he thinks hes a hero.Its only fair that he'll go down in history as an idiot who had some good things to say.
I noticed that about alex jones, i used to really like him but in his interview with peter i really caught on to his shallow though processes. Not only does he misinterpret/just blatantly not understand things that are being said TO him, but some of the things that come out of his mouth are just /facepalm moments....
I think that Alex Jones is only there to discredit us. His facts on all his actual subject matter are correct and he gets into a lot of facts that other people don't get to, but he goes about it just as a preacher or politician would and preaches that we just need to go back to 1776 & says stuff like "we own those trees & that dirt." But that's not changing at all. He doesn't understand where things come from. I don't think he could've gotten as far as he has if he wasn't there to discredit us.

I don't think you get what is going on here... Jacques stole his work from Masons and others that did the work of resarching the scripture that start and end with the perfect city from God. THEY are trying to FAKE prophecy and then KILL GOD saying ti was atheist all the way. That isn't accurate in the least. There R so many Christians who have given up their entire lives to go abroad & feed & aid many people who are dying. The Red Cross, for example, was 1st started by Christians. Just my little church alone takes 100s of Thanksgiving & Christmas dinners 2 ppl who would not have a dinner otherwise. We also send out clothing & toys 2 countless families, as do almost all churches in the US. So there's a whole lot of good N there, too.

I really think that faith is the x-factor here. Gandhi said "faith transcends reason". I don't get why religious people get so afraid of the zeitgeist movie. I believe in God but I am not in favor of religion. God did not write the bible whatever holy text that has been published, people did. And this is why religions are corrupted and dangerous. Interviewer needs to watch the movies before asking questions. Peter Joseph is a brilliant visionary and key leader that has opened the eyes of so many brainwashed people. Also about those miracles that you talk about, well miracles are everywhere and not just on artifacts or places that people in religious community highly devote to. Alex doesnt have to `lose' in order Peter to `win' - or vice versa. This stupid win / lose logic must not be introduced into play. I think both have valid points. Peter is right about technology and self-sufficiency. Alex is right about setting healthy national boundaries. The thing is to get the best ideas from both.
Yeah I know but that doesn't mean that venus project and/or zeitgeist is right about everything. They are right about 90% of the things they say but remember: When a system (any system, may it be a global or local) exceeds a critical scale it evolves from an ecosystem to an ecosystem of ecosystems (in our case: nations). It's a grevious mistake to believe that re-homogenazing the global community back into a whole will magically solve our problems. Shredding (bio)diversity is a logical phalacy.
It's what Fresco and Joseph suggest by disolution of all boundaries between nations. I agree with Fresco that all nations are inherently corrupt due to their ties with the monetary system and religion and their lack of support for orthologism. However I dont think that unifying the human race under a global nation will solve the problem. The result would be unmaintable and much like a global government in itself. I think nations should keep existing as a means of natural organization of humanity
The "government" will be an automated system. There will be no politicians, because they are useless and cannot solve problems.

Unifying the human race is the solution. It's the only solution. We need to start seeing ourselves as humans, not americans, french, iraqis, etc. We are all global citizens. We should all work together.
The system would be MUCH more maintainable than our current system of division.
I agree that we should see ourselves first as humans than anything else. I agree on the introduction of science in governance. But that doesn't mean, in any case or scenario that in order to achieve this you have to centralize governance. A global government can't possibly catch up with the issues that each geographical area of the planet has. Governments should be reformed to fresco's specs, but if we lead them to global overunification, the results in the long term would be devastating.
Please explain your reasoning behind this. Do you believe we need a government for laws and bills? Or should it's goal be to sustain the Earth and all of it's resources?
Machines that are connected to each other throughout the world will do a much better job regulating the Earth's resources, than one system set up in America, another in China, another in South Africa. They need to be connected to know what each other area has and needs.
No sharing is not the goal per se. The goal is self-sufficiency and the empowerment of the everyday man - not of government. Of-course to achieve that you will need some form of organization but you have to be careful not to get entangled in it - and unfortunately this is the direction that the venus project is proposing. That's my only disagreement with it. To empower the individual and turn it self-sufficient you have to move towards it not away from it by means of global government.

The main reason that p.e. linux systems are safer than all other systems is that they not 100% identical binary wise across all distributions. It's quite impossible for attackers to hack them in a universal way (worms). The Term Anti-Christ is in actuality a non-litteral area but it means "instead of." It's more or less to remind us that evil can always come with a smiling face and good intentions. Not stating that this is what Peter Joseph is, but one must also observe caution with delving into this motion. In order to point out flaws, one first has to listen to the idea presented.
Since we can not talk and listen well at the same time, the talk/listen ratio for serious thought exchange should be like 10/90 % one way. The 10% being there for error correction: asking for definitions, clearing up small stuff. Next comes the response, same thing 10/90 % ratio. This prevents many misunderstandings.
In other words: learn the 'language' of the other person first, then continue.

I think that Alex Jones is only there to discredit us. His facts on all his actual subject matter are correct and he gets into a lot of facts that other people don't get to, but he goes about it just as a preacher or politician would and preaches that we just need to go back to 1776 & says stuff like "we own those trees & that dirt." But that's not changing at all. He doesn't understand where things come from. I don't think he could've gotten as far as he has if he wasn't there to discredit us.

That being said, anybody who has paid attention to his ideas and Peter's discussions is aware that information is serial, knowledge, technology and culture are cumulative, and it is widely acknowledged that Fresco has built upon previous work.

not from what ive heard. i dont know anything about buddhism but ive talked to a couple buddhists, apparently they, or at least some, of them believe in a version of buddhism that involves gods. im chinese, lived in china till i was 12, and ive been around a lot of buddhist culture, and im pretty sure they do believe in gods, lots of them in fact.

That isn't accurate in the least. There R so many Christians who have given up their entire lives to go abroad & feed & aid many people who are dying. The Red Cross, for example, was 1st started by Christians. Just my little church alone takes 100s of Thanksgiving & Christmas dinners 2 ppl who would not have a dinner otherwise. We also send out clothing & toys 2 countless families, as do almost all churches in the US. So there's a whole lot of good N there, too.

Also about those miracles that you talk about, well miracles are everywhere and not just on artifacts or places that people in religious community highly devote to. Have you ever heard about the "placebo effect" ? people actually get "miraculously" healed from their illnesses when they took pills (which are just made up of sugar which they dont know about).So are we supposed to have devotion to these pills now? miracles are everywhere, just because something is miraculous doesn't mean anything.

Oh yes, so the idea of educating myself is by buying a DVD used by some preacher who obviously uses scare tactics throughout his entire video to make me believe, or to thus prey on my empathy and ignore the vast amount of horrific endeavors caused by Christianity, such as the Crusades, the Dark Ages, the Inquisitions and the Salem Witch Trials just to name a few.

Yeah I know but that doesn't mean that venus project and/or zeitgeist is right about everything. They are right about 90% of the things they say but remember: When a system (any system, may it be a global or local) exceeds a critical scale it evolves from an ecosystem to an ecosystem of ecosystems (in our case: nations). It's a grevious mistake to believe that re-homogenazing the global community back into a whole will magically solve our problems. Shredding (bio)diversity is a logical phalacy.

It's what Fresco and Joseph suggest by disolution of all boundaries between nations. I agree with Fresco that all nations are inherently corrupt due to their ties with the monetary system and religion and their lack of support for orthologism. However I dont think that unifying the human race under a global nation will solve the problem. The result would be unmaintable and much like a global government in itself. I think nations should keep existing as a means of natural organization of humanity

The "government" will be an automated system. There will be no politicians, because they are useless and cannot solve problems.
I'm sure boundaries will exist for geographical reasons, but not to separate us.
Unifying the human race is the solution. It's the only solution. We need to start seeing ourselves as humans, not americans, french, iraqis, etc. We are all global citizens. We should all work together.
The system would be MUCH more maintainable than our current system of division.

I agree that we should see ourselves first as humans than anything else. I agree on the introduction of science in governance. But that doesn't mean, in any case or scenario that in order to achieve this you have to centralize governance. A global government can't possibly catch up with the issues that each geographical area of the planet has. Governments should be reformed to fresco's specs, but if we lead them to global overunification, the results in the long term would be devastating.

Please explain your reasoning behind this. Do you believe we need a government for laws and bills? Or should it's goal be to sustain the Earth and all of it's resources?
Machines that are connected to each other throughout the world will do a much better job regulating the Earth's resources, than one system set up in America, another in China, another in South Africa. They need to be connected to know what each other area has and needs.
Sharing is the goal.

No sharing is not the goal per se. The goal is self-sufficiency and the empowerment of the everyday man - not of government. Of-course to achieve that you will need some form of organization but you have to be careful not to get entangled in it - and unfortunately this is the direction that the venus project is proposing. That's my only disagreement with it. To empower the individual and turn it self-sufficient you have to move towards it not away from it by means of global government.

Yeah but stop and think for a minute. Who will be in control of the machines? If machines `look after' the human species universally think of the effects it would have if their control fell into the wrong hands. I am a computer scientist and as such I don't think or I don't believe, I _know_ what happens when you overhomogenize a computing network: you make it uniformly vulnerable to specific attacks.

Thats why computer scientists have begun taking more seriously the laws of biology when it comes to network security. The main reason that p.e. linux systems are safer than all other systems is that they not 100% identical binary wise across all distributions. It's quite impossible for attackers to hack them in a universal way (worms). This example is a stellar illustration of how biodiversity in decision making systems fends off the worst type of attack (takeover). Always remember this.

The Term Anti-Christ is in actuality a non-litteral area but it means "instead of." It's more or less to remind us that evil can always come with a smiling face and good intentions. Not stating that this is what Peter Joseph is, but one must also observe caution with delving into this motion. I agree largely on the psycholical term and prospects of it as well; but weather the movement is workable and can work as a whole will be seen in the future.
