Other than the wheels, which I dont like, this is how the car was built for the NY auto show. Its a rare Tickford version which means it sold for $225,000 in 1983. The TV is original but back then it was a small CRT in that space, not an LCD. Its far more attractive than a standard trim car, which I also own. The reason u guys are bashing it is just the wheels. I assure you this car is gorgeous and stunning. Ive seen it
THey were critisized because the electronics always broke down almost.. But I'm thinking what you can do with that car using using brand new electronics, flatscreens, touchscreens, driving computers that are really hefty and DVD/Playstation/GPS, you name it. THis car was just too far ahead of it's time, the electronics they could use when manfacturing it simply weren't good enough yet! BUt I really, really want one now for modernising, mild styling, nice paint-job, some handling improvement..YUM!
What surprises me isnt the interior of the car. What sursprises me is that there is still a body on to which fit an interior since these cars cost a fortune to buy, an heirloom to run and depreciated faster than an ice-lolly left at noon in the Nevada Desert, with the result that most of them were left unattended and sold for parts.
This particular car is dog's dinner. The wheels, the seats, the switches, the vents, the wood, the dash, the rear spolier, the transmission (shifter) are not original (neither of course the TV in the front. The car has been so bastardised it is disgrace. Although not everyone's taste, this car in original trim is very special. But this one is awful.
@thedopeboy8790 Really? Wow, thats interesting. Its funny how exotic car manufacturers use parts from every day cars to save money on designing and manufacturing. I know some lotus esprit's use the tail lights from a toyota camry and some lambo diablo's use the headlights from a nissan 300zx.
