I know that GOD himself had have a problem with Jews people thats why they got kicked out from their land for thousands of years because some of them just stop believing after a while. The reason just likes atheists, perhaps atheists idea came from them, and they want proof again and again and again stop worshiping our GOD because they dont believe in handwritten of somebody else.
Generation after generation civilization repeat itself asking to prove if there is a GOD. Sometimes they are suggesting the proof must come from GOD himself. If you tell them to read bible they just laught at you because they said those are hand writting of just people. They have a big problem. I figure these people are just what they called not sheeps, rahter goats.

Very interesting story, I can relate. I used to be a very devout Christian also, now an atheist. I also used to be heavy into proselytizing my beliefs. When I told my Christians friends I had become an atheist some tried to throw verses at me as if I forgot all that I had read and studied in the bible with them. I didn't really mind, but I found it funny and sort of odd. I'm glad I don't have to worry about trying to convert every person I meet to my beliefs anymore.

For a while it might be feeling good for you to have a life away from christianity.
But you'll be older too someday and hope you'll change your mind by then.
Because it's nice to have the hope of life to continue after death and you'll be welcome to accept JESUS CHRIST once again anytime within your lilfe spanned.

Trust me I know where ur coming from but the bible has the answers to all ur questions. dont matter was u are as long as u belive in God. I grew up as one of Jehovahs Witnesses. I questioned my belief as well. Jehovahs Witnesses believe they are the only ones that will be saved So what happens to all of those who did try to serve god? They die like all of the rest? I don't believe there is a right religion. But I think the thing that got me the most was how religious people acted regradless of their religion They "sin" all of the time and then ask god for forgivness and do it all over again and don't feel regret I am a atheist now
First and foremost, I dont believe in God. Therefore, I dont need him to bless me. Secondly, I dont need to repent because I am doing what makes me human. I have made the decision not to serve God when I was 14 years old and I am older now with the same mind frame. I cannot serve something that I dont believe exist.

I want to THANK YOU for posting this vid...i am in a very similar situation right now...parents are christians and i grew up being indoctrinated with it, and now that i'm an adult and i've done the research, it IS ridiculous! i'm a new atheist and you are so right that it's confusing and hard to "come out"...you're coming up against so much brainwashing and a lot of parents will emotionally disown you.

The priest DID suck... but I was talking about my parents. The priest was worse. He has this woman that cleans his house, you know... he's CATHOLIC. First time I remember seeing him he gave my best friend (we were both about 8 years old) a slap in the face (he was a protestant and the priest was angry).

Religion is something that at first sounds like a good idea but infact is just another way for the people up top to take from the people on the bottom. So can I take from your comment that you think it is wrong for us to have governments and laws here on this earth? There are consequences for breaking laws here on this earth. So why then are you so surprised that it is them same with God. The choice to reject Jesus leads to this consequence, Hell.

You asked a lot of quesitons in the beginning. I didn't listen to all of them, but I hope this answers some of your questions.. It doesn't matter what sect/denomination of christianity you are, as long as you have a relationship with God. A true Christian is one who not only believes and loves God, but who has a true, meaningful relationship with Him.
A truly excellent video! I really enjoyed this and it is an inspiration to me as an atheist. I have only been an atheist for a couple of years and always appreciate videos with this much sincerity. I've lived through the intelligentsia phase. I'm not going to try and reconvert you, you seem pretty convinced of you believe. I've struggled with this in my short life and came up with this.
There are some things that are questionable. The list of these things could go on for a while.
the guy w/the coffee is typical of the religious. how arrogant and self righteous of him to look down on you for not being brainwashed into believing fairy tales as explanations for all existence. people should think of that when they ponder what evils are done by religion. it is a subtle, yet very relevant aspect of the negativity that religion contains. if anyone should be pitied it is people that are so clueless and foolish as to believe in childish fables & have no rational grasp of reality.
this was very pleasing to see/hear. what children are taught to believe is always going to be overwhelmingly the religion they end up following. religion is a self perpetuating borg. your considerations were a very important facet of breaking away from the brainwashing that religion relies on, but most times people can't get past the examination described, as most religions state that it shouldn't be questioned, and changing your beliefs is often shunned and ridiculed.
I am between a rock and a hard place with religion. I have been completely around the block with religions and I am sick of them all! It really truly is all rediculous and all religion came from ancient fables. There is nothing wrong with learning how to be a good person, and we can use tips from all the religions to guide us, but I think more of it as human experience and wisdom, rather than divine intervention. But these ancient fables, come from collections gathered through time. Stories.

It says in the Bible that people that lose their faith can come back to God and he will forgive you if you repent. Just like the Prodigal Son. It does say that hell will be worse for those that believe and then fall from belief. You have very good questions, but for sure you have to have belief and put your trust in Jesus. Jesus is the only person that has died and come back to life, Jesus is the way! Trust him! He came back to life.

ORIGINS OF GOD(s): 600,000 years ago when man became aware that he was more intelligent than the animals he was hunting. Man created a God to explain things he did not understand. When migration took man to all parts of the Earth, each branch created their own God(s) That's why you have so many different ones to this day! To put it more simply: IMAGINATION CREATED GOD(s)
What Christianity says is that God has offered men a full and sufficient revelation of Himself. It says that you should use and embrace the goodness you received when he lovingly created you in his image. It says that in blind ignorance you and every one has. rejected His eternal truth, but by accepting His provision for your corruptions (i.e., sins) you can have a restored relationship with Him. Many books have been written about it if you need more details.
Ironically, if you're talking about Jesus, there has only been one book written about him. You would think if a guy was the son of god, performed all those miracles, was crucified, died and came back to life, the romans would have written about him, but they didn't. No, it took 60 years for anyone to write about him.
Sufficient? Not so much.

But it is my hope that your traumatizing experiences don't cloud your judgement...you are disbelieving in a God who by definition is the only one who could define an objective good and evil. She may not believe in God because no evidence exists for the belief in ANY God. The notion that you believe that everyone is wrong, broken and sinners if you don't accept Christ into your life. What you miss is that most atheists become non believers after spending multiple years involved in religion.
Similar story. My Baptist Mom made some comment about Catholics worshiping Mary, and I realized people believed different things and they couldn't all be right. I then learned there are lots of religions. A month later we went to a Natural Hx. Museum and saw a mummy with a plaque that said Egyptians hid mummies for the afterlife... but someone had dug this one up! Then I understood another thing about religion. It is only YOUR religion that counts. I was 10 and have been atheist ever since.

the purpose is to relate and reach out to other people in similar situations. to assert that to question what you believe to be true (with regard to everything- religion, politics etc) is a GOOD thing.

I know that GOD himself had have a problem with Jews people thats why they got kicked out from their land for thousands of years because some of them just stop believing after a while. Very interesting story, I can relate. I used to be a very devout Christian also, now an atheist. I also used to be heavy into proselytizing my beliefs. When I told my Christians friends I had become an atheist some tried to throw verses at me as if I forgot all that I had read and studied in the bible with them. I didn't really mind, but I found it funny and sort of odd. I'm glad I don't have to worry about trying to convert every person I meet to my beliefs anymore.

I grew up as one of Jehovahs Witnesses. I questioned my belief as well. Jehovahs Witnesses believe they are the only ones that will be saved So what happens to all of those who did try to serve god? They die like all of the rest? I don't believe there is a right religion. But I think the thing that got me the most was how religious people acted regradless of their religion They "sin" all of the time and then ask god for forgivness and do it all over again and don't feel regret I am a atheist now

The priest DID suck... but I was talking about my parents. The priest was worse. He has this woman that cleans his house, you know... he's CATHOLIC. First time I remember seeing him he gave my best friend (we were both about 8 years old) a slap in the face (he was a protestant and the priest was angry).
That's why I don't like religious societies. This, however, is apart from the fact that I don't believe in God (I wouldn't know in which one; and there is no evidence).

As I said, when I was about 8, I am 21 now, so it was in... umm... 1996.
Then, my father has been ill for as long as I know him, and my grandparents and whole family always prayed for him. Nothing happened. Why? Sure, God's masterplan. But then, why pray at all if God has other plans?
Then, as I said - lack of evidence. There are thousands of religions, thousands of sects also inside Christianity, and all claim to be right. So I simply stopped.

Usually I would be a very very vicious towards anyone who I know to have performed "the sin of proselytizing". That´s an act of thought faschism and nothing else.
However in your case I´ll be forgiving and even encouraging since you obviously have began to think with your own brains. Sadly it seems that most people (even way too many atheists in my opinion) don´t do that so it´s really refreshing to see even one person as bright as yourself.

Religion is something that at first sounds like a good idea but infact is just another way for the people up top to take from the people on the bottom. "If you dont do what we tell you to do then your going to go to a bad place so give us all your money and belongings!" I think i was very young when i realised that God/Allah/Whoever wasnt real probably about 4 years old, hay i never even belived in Santa Claus or the easter bunny. Most of the worlds ill nowadays are because of religion!

You asked a lot of quesitons in the beginning. I didn't listen to all of them, but I hope this answers some of your questions.. It doesn't matter what sect/denomination of christianity you are, as long as you have a relationship with God. A true Christian is one who not only believes and loves God, but who has a true, meaningful relationship with Him.

I've lived through the intelligentsia phase. I'm not going to try and reconvert you, you seem pretty convinced of you believe. I've struggled with this in my short life and came up with this.

the guy w/the coffee is typical of the religious. how arrogant and self righteous of him to look down on you for not being brainwashed into believing fairy tales as explanations for all existence. people should think of that when they ponder what evils are done by religion. it is a subtle, yet very relevant aspect of the negativity that religion contains. if anyone should be pitied it is people that are so clueless and foolish as to believe in childish fables & have no rational grasp of reality.

this was very pleasing to see/hear. what children are taught to believe is always going to be overwhelmingly the religion they end up following. religion is a self perpetuating borg. your considerations were a very important facet of breaking away from the brainwashing that religion relies on, but most times people can't get past the examination described, as most religions state that it shouldn't be questioned, and changing your beliefs is often shunned and ridiculed.

I am between a rock and a hard place with religion. I have been completely around the block with religions and I am sick of them all! It really truly is all rediculous and all religion came from ancient fables. There is nothing wrong with learning how to be a good person, and we can use tips from all the religions to guide us, but I think more of it as human experience and wisdom, rather than divine intervention. But these ancient fables, come from collections gathered through time. Stories.

Good video. I consider myself spiritual not religious. Like you, I grew up with christianity but became disillusioned with it as a lot of its tenets and dogmas started to dissolve in the face of what I saw and came to know in the real world. However, I do believe, or more to the point I KNOW there is a spirit world and that the universe was created, but christianity is a man-made religion based on fear which doesn't really touch this (contd).

There are WAY too many videos on YouTube of atheists and religious people slagging off each other and each other's beliefs.
Instead of proselytsing, surely it makes more sense (if you are DETERMINED to convert people to your way of thinking) to live by EXAMPLE.
"Hi, I believe that belief is essentially a personal matter. I respect other peoples' beliefs and opinions. I don't care WHAT you say you are if you act like a prick. I'm going to be nice to you unless provoked, in which case bye".

It says in the Bible that people that lose their faith can come back to God and he will forgive you if you repent. Just like the Prodigal Son. It does say that hell will be worse for those that believe and then fall from belief. You have very good questions, but for sure you have to have belief and put your trust in Jesus. Jesus is the only person that has died and come back to life, Jesus is the way! Trust him! He came back to life.

Im glad I don't put my trust in this book (at least hardcore) as the gods in which people follow in this book is quite frankly a massive asshole.
The only one whom can forgive you, is yourself through your chakras and not anyone else. It is however good to see that people are leaving organized religions.

(sigh), we're not sad that you don't get it(although that's part of it). we're sad that you're not going to experience the completeness of joy that we can. and if you knew so much about christianity, how did you not know about what the church says on hell(yes non-believers can go to heaven, i took a course), and how could you not know about the differences between christianity and catholocism(different bible, saints, sacraments, etc)?

i have been sayin this stuff forevs and im glad i came across this video to see that someone pretty much took the words out of my mouth!
i have some pretty good vids that talk about the bible and it really taught me a lot on how repulsive it is and everything. Search, GIIVideo on youtube and check out his vids. they are great! lots of research and thought went into those vids. and check out some George Carlin (the comedian) he was soo brilliant.

I came out mine when I started to research my own religion.I also started to think about the bible itself and other religions too.
I soon fond out that I don't need to believe what the bible says about god(or pretty much what says at all),so I turned to deism...
I just know,after finding out the bible was written by man,some books taken out,rewritten,it just made sense to me...

What Christianity says is that God has offered men a full and sufficient revelation of Himself. It says that you should use and embrace the goodness you received when he lovingly created you in his image. It says that in blind ignorance you and every one has. rejected His eternal truth, but by accepting His provision for your corruptions (i.e., sins) you can have a restored relationship with Him. Many books have been written about it if you need more details.

Ironically, if you're talking about Jesus, there has only been one book written about him. You would think if a guy was the son of god, performed all those miracles, was crucified, died and came back to life, the romans would have written about him, but they didn't. No, it took 60 years for anyone to write about him.
Sufficient? Not so much.
PS. Josephus is a VERY contestable corroboration, so please spare me.

Please don´t come out. Catholics are not Christians. God is right and the Bible is his word. It´s a serious matter. Love to money is the root of all evil. Yeah make your own moral determinations that´s very wise. No thanks the road to hell is full of lights, fun and rock&roll but if that´s what you like enjoy (while it last).

And for the record, I believe you can believe whatever you like. Words can never express my appreciation and sorrow for people like you have served us so well and the terrible things you've endoured. But it is my hope that your traumatizing experiences don't cloud your judgement...you are disbelieving in a God who by definition is the only one who could define an objective good and evil. Ironically evil is the reason you're not open to the option of a god.

She may not believe in God because no evidence exists for the belief in ANY God. The notion that you believe that everyone is wrong, broken and sinners if you don't accept Christ into your life. What you miss is that most atheists become non believers after spending multiple years involved in religion.

Similar story. My Baptist Mom made some comment about Catholics worshiping Mary, and I realized people believed different things and they couldn't all be right. I then learned there are lots of religions. A month later we went to a Natural Hx. Museum and saw a mummy with a plaque that said Egyptians hid mummies for the afterlife... but someone had dug this one up! Then I understood another thing about religion. It is only YOUR religion that counts. I was 10 and have been atheist ever since.

the purpose is to relate and reach out to other people in similar situations. to assert that to question what you believe to be true (with regard to everything- religion, politics etc) is a GOOD thing.
i don't *need* ppl to be atheists.
will this save our world? probably not, but how cool would that be?

First I want to say you have guts girl. God has saved my life 3 times. Suffocating in grandma's trunk. I drove off a mountain road, rolled & stopped by the only tree in sight, and a drug overdose. By all rights I should be dead. That why I can't be turned now. I have a degree in Psyc. thats how I know I'm stupid. lol I hope you will keep searching for the truth. I want to know the truth too. I can't accept coincidence for what has happened to me. Perspective is critical. Tks for the rply

I've got to throw my two cents. First penny, I love this vid, it makes me smile. Second penny, I asked a question while attending bible school when I was thirteen, " Why did god create the devil?, if he knows everything, he would know what pain he would cause." The teacher looked at me and said, "Only god knows." I walked out of the class and told my mom, I'm never going back.
