@HeadshotZealot No, that's a small misconception, a scorpion sting isn't actually deadly, it just hurts like hell. I've been stung many times by wild scorpions. It mainly depends on the size, a tiny one can kill you, but one that size will just hurt. Think of a scorpion kind of like a snake, you do not want to be bit by a baby snake because you will die nearly instantly (depending on the breed) where as an adult snake you may have a chance to survive.

@HeadshotZealot This is because as a baby, they are more vulnerable, but I'm sure you realized that anyway, lol. When I was stung the first time by a scorpion, it was a black emperor over in Egypt. It burned for a while, kind of like a bee sting, but it's not really that bad. The pincers I hate, honestly, they hurt more because not all of them will let go when you shake your hand to knock them off, lol.

@Moscowfreaks If they survive being stung they will eventually grow an immunity. If scorpions are a natural prey for these mice, it's no doubt they've been stung several times and built up an immunity. Same goes for spider venom and snake venom.
