Hence you have this little space over there, you can use directed light (LED or so) under eye holes part and make it reflect from mirror positioned over eyes part. Then using some kinda thin material, you could actually make eyes glow and see through them! Probably not at the same time, the material would be too bright from light to look at it.

The eyes were made using electroluminiscent lightsheet. You can't look through them though :)
