Tens toda a razão, esses hipócritas, estiveram sempre do lado indonésio, até à véspera do referendo. O seu plano inicial era dividirem os lucros do petróleo timorense com os indonésios, mas quando viram que o referendo se ia realizar, e que a independência concerteza ia ganhar, mudaram de lado e começaram a fazer-se de amigos dos timorenses. O único interesse que eles têm no vosso país, é e sempre foi o petróleo, nada mais.

East Timor is not in a bad position because of Australia-it is still recovering from Indonesian sponsored destruction and murder. You call Australians cowards. How brave is it to shoot unarmed civilians and burn their towns and cities. Despite everything we still call Indonesians our friends. We were there for Indonesia after the Tsunami and we provide Indonesia A$450,000,000 in aid every year. Even after all the hardship the East Timorese still prefer freedom to Indon control.

Your government is an hypocrital one. Australia supported Indonisia (during 25 years) against Portugal, for the referendum realization. Just when, Portugal achieved the agreement in ONU, for the referendum realization, your government shifted his position. Your interest in Timor is just the OIL, nothing more.

I wouldn't worry too much as your Army doesn't have much credit to begin with - I was there with INTERFET, the footage is consistent with what happened. Indon BRIMOB and Miltary stood by and in some cases actively supported the militia whilst men, women and children were murdered by pro-autonomy militia especially in the western districts of East Timor

I was there. The Indonesians destroyed that country. There are places there and you will drive for miles and all you can see is burnt out buildings. I saw the church where they massacured people inside and burnt the bodies outside.

That shows no understanding of Timor's history..80 per cent of the population wanted independence, even among the remainder, most had been bullied or terrorized into voting against it by the Indon Army and their death squad allies. Sympathy from the West? The West gave the Indon military the wepons to invade the place in 1975 and rule it through terror
