Your comments aren't worth my time but let's get some things straight, I have owned a camaro, a 240sx and now I own a G35. I've been in all the new musclec ars and I can say I'm unimpressed by them all.
I like my G35 mainly for the control, the power and the style. I'm comfortable with a 300hp V6 over a V8. I've grown up and I know how everything works. I mean you brag about hp, but the GT-R is pretty crazy considering it's almost as much as your Shelby Mustang.
@withered962 G35 has 280hp v6, 2011 mustang(v6) has 315hp so if you wanna compare apple to apple then mustang still has more horsepower. now if you wanna compare apples to oranges and bring in v8's then the 2011 mustang gt has 412 hp stock, the dodge challenger srt8 has 480hp and the 2011 corvette zr1 has 639hp so american muscle is still well above 280(and the shelby gt500 package has well....500hp so its way above 280) and i dont hate foriegns i just prefer muscle
lastly, the nissan 3.7l is 333hp (350 if you've bought the nismo)
the 370 raped the 4.6l v8 mustang

Shelby's mustang handles like a brick on wheels. The Roush Mustang was a better deal than shelby

@withered962 the GT500 used basically the same setup as the Stock GT, however it wasnt meant for handling, its purest purpose was straight line speed, which it did decently, Roush and Saleen made better mustangs imo because they went for the all around package, decent speed, great handling and great acceleration
@withered962 the mustang still is using a live axle, it also pulls better Gs in the skid pad than the E92 M3, the 4.6L ford used was dated and really they should have launched the 5.0 sooner, on the bright side, mustangs performance is only going up and from the looks of the 2015+ mustang years they will easily outperform even the corvette

@kubahobo try drifting with a FWD car, like a olds mobile, I can tell you by experience, I find it harder to control it as FWD drifting but once you got it down, it's a load of fun ^_^

It just takes practice on making it work without going into a spin, also I would like to mention that the FWD car probably can't drift a long time like this mustang you watched, but for a short amount of time it can drift pretty good.
these are race cars not a car you can walk into a dealer and buy but ford made a performance mistake when GM started putting 350 LS1s in the camaro and firebird but the cam back some in 03 with the blown cobra but still gm has always been more badass

I was always a fan of the foxbody 5.0, they look mean as hell... I dunno what it is about the new mustang but I'm not too much of a fan. The interior is cheesy, it was slow as hell... at least they went back to the 5.0, they got one thing right, too bad chevy has been spitting out high hp engines for decades since the emissions change and I was referring to the mustangs suspension... Shelby's mustang handles like a brick on wheels. The Roush Mustang was a better deal than shelby

@withered962 the GT500 used basically the same setup as the Stock GT, however it wasnt meant for handling, its purest purpose was straight line speed, which it did decently, Roush and Saleen made better mustangs imo because they went for the all around package, decent speed, great handling and great acceleration

@withered962 the mustang still is using a live axle, it also pulls better Gs in the skid pad than the E92 M3, the 4.6L ford used was dated and really they should have launched the 5.0 sooner, on the bright side, mustangs performance is only going up and from the looks of the 2015+ mustang years they will easily outperform even the corvette

@ADD8oi Ford did step up though. I was pointing my finger and laughing at them for a long time. You can't blame me though, Mustang GT's use to have 278 hp and like 270 Trq, they were embarassing themselves, but that seems to be a issue they want buried in the past.

@TequilaKG as a ford fan i do agree that putting a 300hp engine in the 05-09s was rediculous, and ford could have stepped up a lot earlier if they werent focused on their economy cars, but thankfully theyre coming back, ford really is doing great now, while i do love all american cars, im more partial to ford, so domestic ftw!

@nickdru1 Not a expert, but i do know, your suspension is not the only part modified. Tires, transmission, brakes, exhaust, control arms probably. I think I fixed your problem of why you cant get your car to drift. Answering your first question, a stock Z06 can drift, thats just known.

It just takes practice on making it work without going into a spin, also I would like to mention that the FWD car probably can't drift a long time like this mustang you watched, but for a short amount of time it can drift pretty good.

The best naturally aspirated engine mustang makes is 315hp to the camaro's 425hp. They would both gain from forced induction with the camaro coming out on top once again. The camaro's base model V6 makes 305hp with is only 10 less than the mustang GT, sorry mustang maybe next year.

I have always been a fan of the 03 cobra but it didnt seem like Ford could ever produce a N/A motor that would keep up, looks like I am eating my own words. I love chevy's old pushrod motor but with that they would at least experiment with dohc in there V8's. And to end this I am not a kid and will bet money that my camaro would burn the shit out of whatever you have.

@Texarmageddon It's a 1987 so I dont think it is much of a classic but, I like it. Just baught a set of dart iron eagle heads and hopeing to get 650hp out of the 357ci with 100hp shot of nitrous. Cant really push it though until I replace the garbage chevy 7.5 " 10bolt for a ford 9". We can bicker all day about wich one is better ford, chevy, or dodge. They are all cool in my book. At least its not a rice burner!!

@BloodMagex My buddy gave me a good deal on the short block with the cam for $1300. Baught the dart iron eagles for $500. Had a lot of port work done and baught a nitrous kit. It has taken me quite a while to get all this done. Rite now Im on unemployment and get two awesome grants that pay me to go to school.

@extracredit100 Not sure about the inventing part. Races with Sprint cars did race with certain "drift" manuevers pre WW1 in America. I am too though tired of hearing that Japan was the first to cause a car to lose traction and steer at the same time. Cars have been driven more than 100 years, the idea of drifting didnt wait till the 70's to be manifested in Japan.
