  • I want one with Tarpit or Turnip Farm on the back :D

  • Mi enfermedad - Andres Calamaro. in the beginning ;) haha

  • I don't jknow wether to love her because she got one or hate her because she got one. Sweet pedal!

  • I Know this pedal is made to j mascis spec's.But if you haven't checked Blackout Effectors Twosome Dual Fuzz..You should. It nails the dinosaur jr tone to. And is a little bit more versatile than the munchkin

  • Yeah girl you freakin win!!

  • funny that j doesnt even use these

  • @nymetsrock why would he use a clone when he has the pedal that all these clones are based off of?

Btw he said he hasnt gotten the chance to use one yet at a show

  • That's cheating lol apparently Dinosaur, hum and bloody valentine peddles are all a mystery of how they truly are hooked up for there sound and even the type they are

  • I think it's funny you say this pedal sounds better with Humbuckers - doesn't J himself Hate humbuckers?

  • good girl you finally learned a new riff :D

  • so is this pedal riveted so that people can't clone it? seems kind of hypocritical no?

  • =[ at this point I ahte you but love your videos, i'm absolutely jealous.

  • Well, i think some pedals (including some other fuzzes, and definitely all treble-boosters) sound awesome with the amp breaking up, IMHO just not the muff :) Of course your mileage may vary, but as a long time muff user i wanted to report my impressions as well... btw J uses single coil exclusively (he hates humbuckers! ;) )

  • I own several vintage muffs and some modern clones and run it through a Hiwatt DR-103, Marshall SLP or Fender Twin/Deluxe. Hope you don't take it personally, it's just tech talking.. btw J runs his amp pretty clean, no doubt about it. A marshall with everything dimed it's something completely unusable with pedals...but you can hear that straight from himself, he stated it in several interviews. On the other hand, only on the marshall heads, he sets all the tone controls and the presence to 10.

  • @BialogardTube Nothing personal at all :) When I run a clean amp, everyone asks me to run it a little hot so that the pedal pushes the break up. When I run the amp a little hot, people tell me to run it clean..... I just can't win :)

  • @FuzzBoxGirl

    your pretty rad.

    you always win.

    x.

  • This is no really giving justice to the pedal. You're running it in a breaking up amp, and so the muff sounds scrambling and unfocused. Also, as you have noticed, it does not make any difference when boosting the out, as the vox preamp is already done. Try it in a very clean amp (maybe in the low sensitivity input if it has one). J plays all his pedals like that, on Marshall/Hiwatts head with the input volume set very low, and cranks the pedal output. Sounds like night and day.

  • @BialogardTube Do you own one? Check it out at the 9:01 mark with the Humbuckers.... much more of a difference and my last comment.... both times I have seen J, he has walked up to his Marshall and just cranked every knob all the way up.

  • @FuzzBoxGirl Yeap. Every knob cranked ALL the way. He nearly blew up my old Marshall with Kt88's when he borrowed it for ONE show. God damn.

  • wooo tym guitars! you rule FuzzBoxGirl

    marry me?

  • I have been gassing for one of these, I love J Mascis and the pedal is such a cool package, but the bypass option in this vid really let the wind out of my sail :(

    Thx for the demo FBG!

  • @barbwirebats You don't like the bypass option?

  • @FuzzBoxGirl

The bypass option is cool but some separate volume to control it in the bypass mode with some volume boost on hand would have made this pedal insanely cool or at least make it more pronounced/ louder in the bypass mode! It's still a cool pedal and you could always just run some other boost pedal after it, thx again for posting the vid!

  • @barbwirebats I shot you an email... but I just want to make sure you know that the volume knob will only control the sound when the bypass switch is NOT engaged.... I have the volume set lower so that you can really hear the difference between the two modes. You really wouldn't need a boost after it, the pedal is plenty loud enough :)

  • O M F G!!!!!! I love you FUZZ BOX GIRL!!!!! You have the pedal and guitars I want!!!!!! MARRY ME!!!!!! I'll share all my pedals with you!!!!!?

  • @StarKiller6900 Nerd.

  • @FuckingStanz GSAD!!!!! AFB!!!!

  • awesome demo FBG! tym's is my local,i brought my mustang there!

  • That's one sweet pedal! Great demo, FBG!

  • Yeah, I dig this fuzz. I'll see if I can reproduce it using my Fuzz Factory before buying this puppy though. The FF seems to be able to do anything, and with enough time and tweaking, I've been able to figure out how to do most of the fuzz tones I want.

  • Wow that is a big difference (w/ the HBs)! That is interesting...

When I play my fuzz munchkin through my 50 watt marshall I can get a big volume difference even w/ single coils (i use a jazzmaster)... With my AC30 set clean (gain at like 1/4), I get the volume jump but it's not as SLAM as the Marshall... I guess cos it starts cooking sooner...

  • There's a much bigger difference using the Vol bypass when running into a clean amp. Since the Vox is already cooking a bit - it just saturates it more instead of getting louder.

  • @sleepingtruck I tried it through my Fender clean and it sounded pretty much the same.... did you go to the portion of the demo with humbuckers? There is a much much more noticeable difference....

  • Can your pics get any better sure know how to dress to impress! Great vid as usual.
