The spirit doesn't carry a gun; he dresses in blue not black, the Octopus is never seen except for fleeting glimpses of his face and full views of his gloves. This flick is yet another "artistic" reevaluation of the same set standard that made the strip unique and interesting, but dumped in the film version.
