  • thats beautiful

  • too bad its so ugly, sounds nice though

  • The more I look at the 1125R the more I like it. What I really like is that Buell is proud enough of their engineering to show it off and not cover it with sheets of plastic body work. The front radiator shroud looks cool. The upper fairing is simple and light. YAMERHAMMER08 is right though it does sound like a lawnmower at idle, but I've heard these under load and they sound much meaner in gear at high RPM.

  • They cover the engine up on good bikes so that it has less wind resistance lol. I still like the ninja or hayabusa better then this bike though.

  • I have no problem with bodywork, done right it is beautiful. The problem with "good bikes" like the CBR F2 is they cover the entire bike with bodywork even the frame. Don't delude yourself, yes bodywork can help manage airflow, but the person behind the bars is inherent drag. Unless a bike is made a streamliner there is always allot of drag. That is what makes a bike an interesting beast, bodywork also effects the critical weight to power ratio. Remember more bodywork equals more weight.

  • Well if you look at the hayabusa the bodywork is designed to flow the air around the rider.

If its carbon fiber its not going to be that heavy, Its going to be a trade off between aerodynamics and weight.

  • I sold motorcycle parts at Apache Motorsports when the Hayabusa hit the market, so I remember the hype about it's aerodynamics. I have looked at the Busa's bodywork and as aerodynamics on a bike go they are good, but you can only channel so much air around a rider. If you ride one I bet you still feel buffeting at speed. I sold parts for high performance race replicas for too many years to know that carbon fiber bodywork is very rare even now. On stock bikes heavy ABS plastic is still the norm.

  • Idk i just like bikes with bodywork. You would never drive a car without a body :P

  • That is one of the most ignorant things I have heard a squid kick down in a long time. I would definitely drive a Ariel Atom or KTM Crossbow. You should check them out they are cars without bodywork and they have phenomenal performance, just don't expect to bring a passenger, LOL. Here plug this into a youtube search watch?v=WaWoo82zNUA It's Jeremy Clarkson's impression of the Atom on the hit show Top Gear. I hope this expands your notion of performance. XP

  • eww i have seen one of them cars... weird looking.

  • Sorry I'm too open minded to say "eww" to a cool little cart that can out perform many super cars. The new 500 horse power version can out accelerate a Veyron. While the Veyron has a higher top speed, the Atom can brake later, maintain a higher average corning velocity, and accelerate away from a corner harder. You can call the Atom ugly I think they look great, given their performance. I have the same attitude for naked motorcycles like the Ducati Streetfighter.

  • What about the gumpert Apollo... That car is a beast.

  • retsnom92, that was only an example of what a naked rig could do. I had thought of the Gumpert but it has too much down force producing bodywork to be considered as an appropriate example of a naked car. You are right though, when top speed is not a factor but all around performance is, it is nigh impossible to beat an Apollo. Still the Gumpert is a full bodied car. I hope my explanation was enough. Please forgive my omission of that particular four wheeled hyper car.

  • I wasn't saying the Gumpert was naked... if that's what you mean....

I think the atom is kinda cool, but it would suck to drive it in the rain lol.

  • No argument there friend, without the right gear, the Atom would blow in the rain. Then again so do the vast majority of motorcycles. The Atom is not a real world car either, can't haul groceries nor easily share the experience with friends, unless they brought their own Atoms, LOL. Still I would drive one. Seeing that I have rode in the rain, it is a strong bet that I would drive an Atom in the rain as well. Just bring a helmet and leathers and you would be fine.

  • Would be funny to pull up to a food mart, everyone would be like wtf? lol

  • Looks ugly as shit and Buell's sound like a damn lawn mower when you start them up

  • funny!

  • I pick mine up Tuesday I can't wait

  • Not the prettiest bike ever made but the fairing looks as though it'll be functional enough to keep hands out of the wind blast during very cold weather. Light weight too, and being a Rotax it should prove to be reliable. Germanic engineering. OK, Austrian but nobody told Hitler there was any difference way back when !

  • yeah i agree, it isnt the prettiest bike getting around, and i think that that might turn people of the new buells, but on the other hand the new rotax engines are going to sir everything up. its just a personal opinion.

  • I love this bike. I will have one early 2008 :D

  • this bike is hot

  • I dont like the fish gills on the side. They are fugly

  • its got a hoped up sv1000 engine, and the looks of a ducati.

    idk, only time will tell.

    so far i aprove.

    a v-twin with 145hp? hell yea!

but how much is this one gonna cost? im guessing around 11-13k (becase of all the suspention, and chasis work)

  • I don't like it

  • it doesn't like you!
