I don't know about Ed Reed potential, but probably just a level under it.

I think Ed Reed (in his prime) is a little faster, reads a little better, and picks a hell of a lot more balls.

@LETSGOBULLS8 I do not understand how Eric reminds you of Sean Taylor at all? Besides being strong hitters, which they are MANY in the NFL, they play NOTHING alike. Sean Taylor played Free Safety, while Eric plays Strong Safety. They are much different players in every way of the game, Eric is much more of a cover safety all together. It seems like anyone who is a decent hitter is automatically compared to Sean Taylor now, people just need to talk about Sean Taylor.

It's like people are obsessed with him, not saying you are, just saying in general. There is some creepy obsession that people have with him. I must ask, how do Eric Berry and Sean Taylor compare in any sense besides hard hits? They play completely different, I don't see what similarities you're picking out here. Watched both play many many games...

Assuming he stays healthy, it's kind of hard for even the biggest Chiefs hater to deny that Eric Berry has an incredibly bright future ahead of him. He is ranked #93 of the top 100 players in the league right now, and last year was his ROOKIE season. He has all the attributes needed to be a GREAT safety, which is speed, ability to cover, intelligence and he is a sure tackler.
