VOX - Night Train - Fender Tele + Gibson Les Paul

Night Train should be louder. 15 tube watts vs, Solid State. Tubes should be louder.

Hi everyone, have a quick one for everybody! Is it possible that my vox NT has a little less volume than my Pathfinder 15r? I got my NT checked last week by service, change valves and everything seems to be ok...any clue?

The Night Train has just as mush clean head room as the AC15C1. Both are 15 watt tube amps. The Night Train handles pedals very well and will keep up with a drummer.

I would think about it this way....if you want a combo get the AC15C1.  If you want a head that you can pair with any bottom get the Night Train.

Both are great choices. How do you want to use the amp??

I can't make up my mind between the NT and the AC15C1.

But i can't get my hands on either one. Tried a AC15C2 today, the only full valve VOX i found here in Porto Portugal :). Going back tomorrow with my 96 tele plus for more.

Is the night train loud enough to rehersal and small room gigs?

Does it have enough clean head room to take pedals and still play loud?

I'm looking forward to having a tube amp that I can crank late at night.

I've played some stuff with a harmonizer and the Night Train that reminded me of Brian May.

Have you seen the new VOX Lil'Night Train? 4 knobs - 2 watts! Tiny little version of my amp. Brand new. Looks like a winner for home recording. I just got an email about it from VOX. I have not seen demo videos yet.

I've seen a couple videos of the Lil' Night Train and I can't wait to see more. Can't wait to play one. It's amazing how loud a couple tube watts can be and it's great when you can actually turn an amp up.

Is the LIl' Night Train quiet when you crank it? Does it run quietly?? Looks like a little monster of a recording and practice amp

I wish they would have offered a carry bag with it. It would look like you had a little VOX canteen around you neck! Dude its my Amp!

@studio1087 well.. there is a little bag withinn this set.. but it´s just like a dustcover^^ the amp is quiete enough while you´re not playing. but be sure to turn you guitar volumen down if you are going with gain all the way up. i also have to say that the little 10" speaker sounds much better than the 12"greenback in his ultra-tiny cab from the bigger night train

I had all of 15 minutes and didn't really think about what to play.....and I regret wearing the  shorts. The whole thing came out a bit whacky.
