  • World Community Grid is great :)

  • @benj83isr

    I just agree with you!

Thank you so much for stopping by and giving me a great reason to smile!

    :-)

  • I do not want more food in the world because I do not want more ppl on this planet , is there some project to make biological weapons or something like that? I will join it.

  • @ww2footage

The funny thing with Life is that we cannot chose from what parents we're born, in what places/nations, our conditions and such... it's a matter of casuality / destiny / Providence...

What if you were one of those people being born in those places, where climatic/social/politic situation reduce them in hunger/poverty?

Would you hope that someone actually help you or add sorrow to sorrow using a biological weapon on you?

  • why is this related to oragami?

anyway, I tried to do this, but every time I download it it just sits there. How do I connect to projects!?!? I want to do this, but my computer retardation is inhibiting my efforts. Plz help! (PM plz)

  • @Lallapalalable If you're having trouble with your computer without BOINC, you shouldn't install BOINC. If you're having difficulty with using your computer, your computer is too weak to contribute much to research. If you manage to install BOINC, your computer will lag even more. BOINC pushes the CPU to 100% activity and when you move your mouse or try to do something on your computer, there is a brief lag where the BOINC project slows down to allow more CPU headroom for what you want to do.

  • Good vid, I'm linked to 10 projects, currently @ 2,800 in the UK & 52,210 in the world.

  • Thank you so much!

I joined 12 projects, but I mainly/mostly crunch WUs for World Community Grid, for which I currently rank 39988.

    Let's keep it up!

    :-D

  • im working on mindless particles

  • And me, I'm actually crunching working units for a research about rice!

    :-)

  • I guess he's just happy like this!

    ^_^

  • I think you're right!

Luckily cats sleep a lot: and when it happens, at least, they can't do any mess!

    ;-)

  • You've given such beautiful names to your cats!

And... yes, cats can be such graceful, natural disaster, when they put their will in it: something that happens many times per day, and, of course, just when it's less needed... I know it by direct experience! xD

    *All* of them?

    ...

Hmm, let me think: probably to distract them with some extra food could be a good trick for to pause the fighting!

    ;-)

  • Oh, I agree: when they're younger they're more willing to welcome new cats in their family/group; on the other side, the more they age, the more they become used to a certain situation and end disliking new mates and friends!

Oh, well, many persons act like this, so I'm not that surprised! ^_^

Yes, we are kinda spamming this comments space: but, let's not forget that this video is mine!

I mean: I think I have a sacrosaint right to spam my own videos, if I want to, hahaha!

    xD

  • Definitely each cat has its own personality!

  • Some cats are like this: they roam around, searching for some more food, again and again... as if they weren't able to stop to eat...

And, sometimes I have the impression the it's not to us, to decide whether or not we own a cat... but, rather, that cats decide what human beings they own.

  • I'm really sorry for you... and her... I really, really wish you that she may finally return as soon as possible!

    :-)

  • I guess this is the risk with "virtual life": sometimes is not so separated from real one, on which it may have some heavy influences...

At least, with that money you've helped that medicine research facility... which is always a great and very important thing!

Thank you for stopping by, the message carried out by this video has a special place in my heart and life!

    :'-)

    :-)

  • Thank you for this great video our dear sweet one

How are you by the way

    hug from us all

    Love

    Natasha and Ellen

  • No, thanks *to you*, ladies, for stopping by and watching: I'm really enthusiast for this chance we all have to give our little help to scientific research in order to solve some of our problems...

    Hugs and smiles in return

    Daniele

  • mala la wea ¬¬

  • Don't know what you mean, I don't know so much of spanish language.

  • Hi Dan. It's been a awhile, how are you doing? Hope you are well.

I know nothing about BOINC, I thought this video was very informative and the editing was excellent.

Glad you provided the websites links for those you would like to know more.

  • Hi, Lisa! It's always great to hear from you!

I'm doing... you know, Life, with its highs and lows...

I'm composing my entry for an orchestral composers contest... and this has a lot to do with me doing almost nothing in YT!

Oh, I'm kinda addicted to BOINC... to the amazing possibility we all have to help the scientific research, to let it run faster!

And just because I've realized that just a video isn't enough, I've put those links... thank you for your attention: you never delude me!

    ^_^

  • this is so interesting!!!

  • It really is!

    Interesting... and so rewarding!

    ^_^

    Thank you for stopping by!

  • Glad to see you're back. We never know what to expect from you other than it's going to be really good. Kind of like we have our private Ridley Scott...

  • You're too kind, Jake!

    ^_^

I'm sorry to have been forced to decrease so much my YT activity... there's a music project I'm involved with... hopely, if things will go that way I hope, one day (autumn? Winter? Who knows!) I'll be able to share a packet of video-reports about it...

    Wish me luck!

  • good 5*

  • Thank you!

  • computers are very nice.......UNLESS THEY KILL US!!.....O.O good thing thatll happen a looong time, bout lets say....97.85923041 years...my calculation ^u^

  • Well, I guess it depends from us, whether or not they are going to kill us or not!

    ^_^

  • Now I have a bionic computer. I swith it on and it runs away from me. ☺

  • That's a computer with a strong personality!

  • I LOVE AIDS THEY TAST GOOD

  • This isn't funny... at all...

  • YES!! i have been preaching BOINC for over a year

it is addicting, i have 6 machines now

    we can all help science,

Proud member of team: Richard Dawkins Foundation for Reason and Science

  • :-D

    "6 machines"?! Now, that's impressive!

Me, I only have been practicing BOINC for a week, with just 2 PCs (but one works on 2 WUs at a time, hehe)... and I'm a proud member of the BOINC.Italy team!

I'm really amazed by the difference we can make... haha, and yes, it's just addicting, from when you give a look to the percentage of processing of a WU to when you see that the work done has been validated!

It really gives the priceless sensation of giving some help to this humanity!

    ^_^
