This is a very PvP oriented game , combat is very flashy but it's pretty much the same gambit as WoW with rotations and all. The gameplay itself is fun as hell but it gets incredibly grindy/repetitive. PvE is almost identical to WoW, ranged/healers stay in back, tank/melee rushes in etc. The nauseating grind along with unexplainable lag spikes are what ruined the game for most people.

I'm big for competition. I love the Arena system in WoW, I'm an avid fan of it and I have always been a fan of skill capped type of games.

And is it still ridiculously long to level up?

@FlamoAralias Aion has a ranked PvP system. You get AP (Abyss points) for every characterof the opposite faction you kill. When you hit a certain point you can get a new one. Rank 9-8, 1-5 Star Officer, General, Great General, Commander, Supreme General. The 1 Star General - Commander only have so many positions where people can get that rank. The Supreme General has only ONE person as that one. Aion is mostly a skill based game. only 10% is gear. Levels 35-40 are the slowest to level IMO..

@tekkenrox You need atleast 1GB of RAM ... That on it's own might suggest You should upgrade, other-wise you will be experiencing a ton of lag, graphics-wise. Adding some RAM should help, but you will also have to make sure you have a graphics card that meets requirements x.x I has about the same hardware as you, and Im planning on getting a new computer in fear mine will blow up trying to play this game xD

@xxchainreaction depends, group pvp i think gladiator is better, solo pvp templars sometimes are better because they can last longer. but both classes can pvp if you know what your doing and you get the right gear. any class can pvp just gotta choose which suits your style more and go from there.
