A side-step and good music by any standard but not a step forward. Maybe after a few dozen more listens I'll appreciate it more? I do agree that Yorke's dancing in the Lotus Flower video is probably one of the few times I've properly enjoyed interpretive dance though.
This is the true Radiohead. King of Limbs wasn't the true Radiohead. It was a "bored" radiohead. Without any ideas at all. The fact that all of Yorke's solo songs created around that period were awesome and quite like In Rainbows and Hail to the Thief confirms that.
I love this song so much. It's just filled with so much emotion and feeling, I just love Radiohead. I recently completed an animated music video for this since I love it so much:

The energy in this is just amazing. one of my favourite radiohead songs anyway, but this version is improved by:
- The visuals
- Louder guitars
- Reverb on vocals at beginning
It's like they all hold their breath and go under water for 4 minutes. It's just an immersing of themselves in a kind of "see you on the other side" kinda moment. It's just really powerful isn't it? You get so sucked in, which is real music. A standing ovation from me.
I almost want to say that I'm angry that they are so good because it would be impossible to compare, but it's obviously not a competition. I'm just honored to be alive at the point in time in which Radiohead exists.

@MrNMertens I think its fair to call Radiohead mainstream at this point, at least in terms of their popularity and critical acclaim. I mean, they can sell out any venue on the planet and the entire music community has a collective orgasm whenever they release an album. Even Rolling Stone can't deny their godliness anymore. I'd say that's mainstream in the best way possible!
Don't get me wrong though, those Beiber and Gaga fans still need to have their heads examined :)
