It so rare that I even smell a whiff of smoke on campus and if I do its gone next time I breath in. No one passes out from second hand smoke, if you do you have other problems you should be dealing with. Enough studies have shown second hand smoke is not strong enough to cause cancer, especially outside, that we shouldn't infringe on others rights. catering to minorities is a waste. Julie Herbert, you're a ditz, a product & victim of politically-correct indoctrination from your high school. Tobacco's a legal product, consumable in public in the open air. Stop with the "I'm going to faint" crap already. Would you support a "marijuana-free" campus? A ban on inhaling anything? When I was at UMaine, smoking was OK everywhere within logical & reasonable limits, so everyone got along. We oldsters still live; you young alarmists will die of angst before your time.
