  • this openng is hip beyond belief..surprised it didnt quiet the room it was so casual and solid - i'm here because of bb part in charles earland front burner

  • I'm located in the West Coast now but I used to love seeing this trio at Pete Millers. Dennis is a great guy and offered to teach me but I was never able to work out my schedule back then. Bobby was real cool but didn't seem to have patience or time for my squareness and naivety back then. I still loved sitting and listening to his group though. He once asked if we had any requests, no one spoke and I mentioned take 5 and he bit my head off. That was a life lesson I guess.

  • kobie is nasty on those drums!

  • Bobby is a favorite of mine, I hope to do something similar one day.

  • Bobby is so free. His solo is fresh.

  • i bet bobby is no doubt a guitar that would have been playing monk's tunes WITH monk in a different time

  • this is so bad, this has every bit of the spirit of Monk and all the old masters ebbing and flowing from every beat and every note played, mostly the vibe though

  • MUCHISIMO SWING....BRAVO!

  • Trying to learn Bobby's solo on In Walked Bud. Bobby's sense of rhythm is UNREAL!!!!

  • I know this guy for some R&B groovy stuff which came out in the 80s (ish). I didn't know he could play like this. Where have I been?

  • Cool!!

  • i saw bobby with sonny rollins last year and let me tell you, there are few guys that are carrying on this style of jazz guitar playing and he's got it. Check out his stuff with the deep blue organ trio

  • I know Bobby back from the 80s when he started playing with Sonny Rollins, he's such an original player!

  • We saw Bobby Broom play last November as part of Sonny Rollins' band. Loved it. We'll see him again this September at Carnegie Hall, at Sonny's 50th Anniversary concert. Can't wait!

  • that's great !!! WHERE can I SEE YOU PERFORM? you are a MASTER.

  • For Broom's performance schedule check out the websites at the top right section of this page.

  • He is swinging harder than any guitar player I have ever heard

  • thats so true

  • it s wonderful,great guitar player,great great great,swing,feeling,its awesome

  • I had the pleasure of seeing this fine trio when I visited Chicago last summer. I was speechless---some of the finest musicians walking the planet!

  • this is off the chain...great interaction

  • Thanks for the clip. I was at music school with Bobby in Boston over 20 years ago. He was a bad dude then.
