I was going to buy the 600D as I am an amateur and the cost suits me better, but I will be shooting video a lot and it seems like the 600D video quality is constantly blurry! Why is that?

And not just on this video, but others I've seen as well.

T3i/600D has a very good video quality in my view.

@aliciabiatch Because he was just testing out the Digital Zoom feauture and plus it's easier to record with a monopod or tripod which allows for more stabability that he didn't have. Or maybe you were talking about the focusing. If you were talking about the focusing then that was because there is no auto focus feature during video like some of Nikon's entry level DSLRs so you have to manual focus.

But because it has a sensor with such a high resolution, you can just take the middle part of the image and still have 1080p quality, which is impossible in post...

How come so many of you people just don't see they are using fake dummy plasticky lenses and cameras when they drop them? L lenses are generally quite heavy and solid, the one he dropped in this video is a 24-105mm which weights about 600~700g. But if you look closely, the lens bounced on the steps like rubber plastic.

Digital zoom is laughable and should be avoided at all cost, anyone with any base knowlege knows that.

Digital zoom is also doable in post production with editing, so its quite useless.

Only my grandmother uses it and will have any use for it.

@cytroop 3x is not digital zoom. it's a crop of the sensor. You lose no resolution because it's video mode , only 1080p or 2megapixel. Obviously if you record 1080p THEN 3x zoom it in post you are losing resolution.
