  • planet telex is black star's satellite

  • Can't believe how many views this song has, it is an amazing song by radiohead!

  • nigga star????

  • WHAT AHH WE COMINNN TTOOOOOO

  • Such an amazing song! Very underrated!

"I try to stay awake but its 58 hours since that I last slept with you..."

  • 大好きな曲です!

  • GOD BLESS RANGERS

  • Why are people talking crap about Muse? I love Muse and Raidohead, their both amazing and really there somewhat smiliar but different which is good

  • Hipsters listen to Radiohead, Hobo's listen to the voices inside their head...... GOD IM SUCH A HIPSTER XD

  • if you wana talk about muse go on a paramore video or somewhere where u can find other like minded fans, not on a godlike radiohead song O.o

  • Its so mysterious how the guitar just creeps in..almost as if it were playing ur entire life..

  • This song reminds me to L'arc~en~ciel

  • @FFWedge you mean "blame"/L'arc en Ciel?lol i think blame is somehow similar to black star, and guess many Japanese like both.off course all the world must like both

  • @Revo1nmybed For example! japenese voices are quite particular and undervalued!

  • Take care... What's the similitude between Muse and Radiohead? Easy... They have the same producer, who's one of the most important piece in the puzzle of every band... We can see that with the Jane's Addiction's New Album "The Great Scape Artist". Music is the one... Don't matter how your band is called.

I love you bitches!!! :) KEEP ROCKING'

  • Muse and Radiohead are two completely different bands. It's like you're saying that the Smashing Pumpkins ripped off Nirvana. No, just no.

  • @originofsymmetry97 I listen to both i love Muse and Radiohead, they are very different but i see we're people are coming from. Beside Muse, Radiohead and Nirvana are smiliar but other then that there very much different

  • Why do people mention Muse here?

By the way, Radiohead is better than Muse.

  • More of that Muse vs Radiohead crap? e_e

  • I actually think this song is kinda dull in the Radiohead catalogue... But still it's a freaking great song!

  • I feel this song. I relate to it. Live.. What a peculiar set of events we all undertake.

  • By far Radiohead is the BEST band ive found yet

  • @Dashigos You should listen to more music.

  • No Muse without Radiohead! Here's the real end of story.

  • @airbag97 Well showbiz might have sounded a little differently but other than that it would all be the same

  • @tdrider2008 No. The evolution of the sound of a band is made by a long way; an album doesn't shine just of its own light, it's influenced by the story, this evolution; it not depends just on itself. Only revolutionary album can do that. So, evolution of Muse's sound depends on "Showbiz" too, I think. No "Showbiz" = no other Muse's works. Try prove otherwise. You can't, because it's not. Sorry for my bad english.

  • radiohead rocks...muse is cool end of the story..

  • muse suck in comparison to radiohead. its like comparing scunthorpe FC with man utd.

  • Their best song by far...

I get on the train and I just stand about now that I don't think of you

I keep falling over I keep passing out when I see a face like you

    What am I coming to?

    I'm gonna melt down

    100% relatable.

  • i love this song :D this entire album sounds like having a epic adventure

  • "What are we coming to?" the best part

  • Black Star and Blackstar, are both two of the best things to exist in Music.

  • FUCK YOU NADIA, BITCH!

  • BEST BAND OF ALL TIME!!! IF YOU DISAGREE THEN I WILL KILL YOU...im kidding btw..

  • 1 Ok Computer 2 Kid A 3 In Rainbown 4 The bends 5 Amnesic 6 King of Limbs 7 Pablo Honey

  • @MultiRcamargo 1 the bends 2 ok computer 3 in rainbown for me! ;D

  • @MultiRcamargo why isnt hail to the theif in that list 0.0

  • Am I the only one who can't figure out if "The Bends" or "Ok Computer" is Radiohead's best album?

  • @bernie17x

i ask myself that every day..but i can never decide.

  • @bernie17x Myself, being a huge fan - found Ok Computer (as amazing as it is, like all the rest of their work) is overrated. With a band that's got like - perfect 10 albums all around, it's tough to say - but I believe I enjoy every album after Computer just a bit more.

  • @ARWorksProductions I dont judge radiohead albums, I just hear em. :)

  • @LaunchingIn54321 I don't sit around and judge them - they're all amazing, my comment is more directed to Radiohead "fans" that believe OK Computer is their best.

  • @ARWorksProductions Well i dont know, I dont think Radiohead have a best album. plus Its impossible to choose. D:

  • @LaunchingIn54321 Pretty much my point exactly.

  • Where did I hear this song before...¿?

  • Dude I completely agree with the past few comments

  • If not my favorite off of the album.

    *Viewer reads my comment*

HOLY CRAP A COMMENT NOT PART OF AN ARGUMENT?!!?!?!?!?!?

  • This is the Radiohead sound I enjoy. Hoping they make another more rock-oriented album like this sometime.

  • @BDizDaBest I always felt this album gets lost in the shuffle when radiohead albums come up because it is more rock sounding than it is their usual mellow sound. but it's a damn great album.

  • Very underrated song, easily one of radioheads best.

  • @Beholderification chorus reminds me of muse -_-

  • @thealmightycommenter remind you of muse........lol. Are they even comparable?

  • @biglaity yes muse have more talent i'm sorry , i love radiohead and i know i will get abuse for this but there is not muse song i skip on my ipod (i have all of them) but some of the radiohead head songs are "album fillers" . just because every muse song sounds "perfect" doesnt make them uncool.E.g matt is classically trained and used to write all of the parts and somehow they still have an amazing sound with one guitarist and radiohead need 3

  • @thealmightycommenter - In Canada, we have a brand called Presidents Choice - which basically sells products that are similar to other name brand products but cheaper and not such good quality. They only exist because they sell cheap products that are similar to better quality products. Without the good quality product, they would have nothing to sell - because they invest not time or money in coming up with their own original ideas. Muse are "Presidents Choice" - Radiohead are the original.

  • @thealmightycommenter Jonny G. can in fact read music. It's Thom who can't. Troll elsewhere...

  • @thealmightycommenter - John Lennon couldnt read music either. I think we can all agree that a lack of theoretical knowledge has little detriment on musical talent. I am questioning Muse's musical talents but Im not saying they have no talent. They just completely ripped off Radiohead, as did alot of other bands. And it's one thing to take inspiration form a band but a completley different thing to mimic another vocalist / band and pass it off as your own.

  • @chadblackey as i have said just the chorus of this song sounds like muse and how could they rip them off ? the are two completely different styles . matt sounds nothing like tom and just cos muse are perfect as i have said before , doesnt make them uncool . just because deep inside you know some of the radiohead songs are horrible to listen to and no muse ones are and im not even a die hard fan of either but just because muse are more popular doesnt make them uncool!!!!!

  • @thealmightycommenter - Well there is a lot to disagree with regarding your statement, this may take a couple of posts. First - this song was written in 1994 and released on the second album in 1995, if anything Muse sound like the chorus not vice versa. Muse formed in 1994 and released their debut album in '99 - giving them ample time to perfect the art of ripping off Radioheads style. Do they sound alike now? No. Does muse sound like early to mid 90's Radiohead? Yes, but nowhere near as good.

  • @thealmightycommenter - Pt 2 - I'ld like to think that you aren't wasting time thinking about what I think of deep inside, BUT if you are, you should know that its the furthest thing from pondering the significance of Muse or their songs. Why? Because its been done before. Its been done better. It's been done by Radiohead.

  • @thealmightycommenter - Lastly, this has nothing to do with being cool. Or maybe it does. Im sure Muse are fuckin bad ass with the extreme sports crowd and are being cranked in the locker rooms of numerous sports teams all over the world to get them pumped up for kicking ass. Is Radiohead? Probably not. If that's what makes a band cool, than yes - you are so right, Muse is cooler than Radiohead, and being cooler is way more important than originality and talent.

  • @thealmightycommenter - I know! I like Muse more, therefore they are objectively better than Radiohead. End of story.

  • @dctsui24 Who cares a fuck if you like Muse more? Radiohead are another planet!

  • @titoweb82 I agree with you even though I like Muse more. :)

  • @JaluigiSchnuffel I LOVE YOU!! lol mostly because you love muse like me lol

  • @dctsui24

Who fucking cares about you and your opinions.

  • @chadblackey Great analogy.

  • @thealmightycommenter avant grade musicains are the only people who preform in a "band" and have extreme musical knowlage, they write symphonies, but with metal music, muse(as much as i love them) do not :P

  • @xxdomoxxkunxx urm no listen to exogenesis the whole way through and it is epic and extremely complicated and you can hear it how matt get's influences from other classical artists and uses the same instruments and the 4 form structure of a symphony

  • @thealmightycommenter that song isnt THAT impressive, its pretty good, but when i call someone a musical genuis i mean it, look up mirrorthrone, that "band" consists of only one person, yet it sounds beautiful in all respects, many of his songs could be called a symphony or sonata, sorry i listen to classical music alot, making one symphony doesnt make you a genuis, good? yes, genuis? no, being able to play it in on all insturments and making masterpeice after masterpeice makes you one

  • @Beholderification totally.

  • @chaddyrick

    uuuuh unf unf fuck yeah

  • SECOND FAVORITE IN THE BENDS, WHY THE HELL ITS NOT A SINGLE

  • is this song racist>?

  • @alberts1985 You might change the name and call it Afroamerican Star if you think is less racist.

  • @hchdez lol

  • @hchdez lol

  • @hchdez At least they didn't call it "Eddie Murphy"

  • afroamerican star? Radiohead is English, more AfroEnglish Star

  • @alberts1985 ur a dumbass

  • Shut the fuck up about Muse and Radiohead.

  • i cant find much good shit to listen to these days.

    this helps a little

  • The part in the last verse where Thom's voice is harmonised with it's self is angelic.

  • @BeTheDeathOfMe I think is Ed doing backing vocals at the end.

  • @mauca27

Ah fair enough. It's still beautiful (:

  • @BeTheDeathOfMe Yeap! :)

  • @pjcthatisme I can understand why, but it's a very stupid one. Muse's first album Showbiz was heavily influenced by The Bends, and they even had the same producer on the album (John Leckie). Since then, there are no similarities at all apart from the vocal range. Muse have taken on this OTT, alternative style with some of the heaviest rock riffs around, whereas Radiohead have kept it cool and niche and picked up from OK Computer with the electronic stuff. There really is no need to hate either.

  • @pjcthatisme Whats your problem with Muse?

  • I love everything new that they've done, but I wouldn't mind if they went back to something like this or OK Computer just once.

  • why cant we like muse and radiohead

  • do I even have to say anything? Radiohead is unreal

  • @pjcthatisme and muse fans get tired of hearing about radiohead on muse songs lol its interesting. they're both good IMO

  • Underrated song. Good stuff.

  • Back before Jonny Greenwood, a phenomenal guitarist, was reduced to a flunky. I miss when Radiohead was a four-piece rock band, because they were a great one.

  • @pjcthatisme fine i respect your opinion

  • @pjcthatisme MUSE isn't a piece of shit I love both bands and they both sound different but U don't have to say that about them OK

  • @flipdry There was a time when Muse was great...that time was called 1999 - 2003. There was an eon when Radiohead was great...it was called 0 B.C. to Infinity.

  • @MyBeautifulZygote why not before 0 B.C?

  • Radiohead > MUSE.

  • Muse sucks Radiohead doesn't end of story

  • nobody sounds like radiohead and thats why i love them

  • Easily my favorite Radiohead song! Check out my cover^^^^

  • @jibblychupos this song was around about 8 years before muse even became famous ya ring piece

  • @jibblychupos This song was around about 8 years before muse became famous

  • @jibblychupos Uh dude ... If anything it's the other way around. I happen to be huge fans of both Radiohead and Muse and this douche doesn't know what he's talking about. I have every song ever made by both bands so I know the years in which these songs are made. For instance Radiohead's "Black Star" is from their 2nd (studio) album "The Bends" which was made in 1995, before Muse's "Hullabaloo" (2002) and "Black Holes & Revelations" (2006). So instead of talking shit.. Get your facts straight!

  • @jibblychupos Might Muse be the ones to copy this song? I think muse is great, but there's no need to be fighting over which band is better.

  • @jibblychupos seriously loads of songs have the same or similar names without being rip offs. i mean, radioheads song just - there has to be loads of songs out there called 'just'...

  • Haha I'm amazed to see one dislike xD

  • keene? get to know your music friend, you cant compare those lightweights to radiohead.

  • keane? radiohead were there first

  • sound like Keene????????????

    Ha ha ha ha ha!

  • @paulbelshaw keane was inspired by radiohead

  • @guyanaboi122 Fuck Keane!

  • 1 person painted the black star white. :P

  • I miss my youth in the 90's :(... ..

  • this song sounds like keane to be fair, but radiohead were out before keane,so keane sound like radiohead yeh?!?!?! hahaha

  • One person is a deush.

  • To me it tells a story. It starts with a relationship that's getting tiring, He obviously loves her to death & knows her so well , and it's hard for him to get over the fact that he can't help her. They break up.

He realizes he doesn't think about her as much anymore, and that he's better...

but then he sees a face and breaks down again.

    It's a horrible cycle.

ILY JDS your my horrible cycle.

  • i think its about a man who loves someone who had tramatic encounter and does not tell him...over time they break up but he feels lost(nearing the end mostly) about the turn of events and how they are not togather anymore...well im just reading the lyrics and thats my take on it dont sue me

  • Perfect

  • My fave by Radiohead...

  • I'm getting this cd

  • My favourite song of ever. radiohead <3

  • this song gave me a boner

  • @Markified1 So I'm not the only one then heheheHa

  • so simple&beautiful

  • Mind blowing song

  • will always be my favorite song.

  • genial canción con una genial letra...aunque algo triste (:

  • FUCKIN HELL THIS SONG IS AN EARGASM!!!!!! :P

I love Radiohead so much. :P

  • One of my favourite songs on the Bends defo.

    I FUCKIN LOVE RADIOHEAD!!!!!!!!!! :P

  • I wish Radiohead did write a mid-'90s British rock song like this again some day...But they havent in more than 10 years and we're not in the 90's anymore :)

But i love both the pre-OK Computer and the newer Radiohead.

  • utter brilliance. oddly, i feel as though this song is the EXACT sound of the 90's.

  • the guitar is so good in this one. this song is alternative rock but obviously with the 'head it is so much more than that.

  • I've always found it strange how the song kind of fades in at the beginning, as if it's been playing your whole life...

  • @clarky241

aww that feels so sweet :>

  • @clarky241 "fades in at the beginning, as if it's been playing your whole life." I want to say "brilliant," but that remark's become a cliche, so... I'll tell the truth and say "grr... I wish I were cool enough to have said that first! Clever you."

  • @clarky241 Quit chatting shite for fuck sake.

  • @clarky241 That's inspired!!

  • @clarky241 Excellent comment

  • this theme is awesome

    radiohead rlz

  • For your listening pleasure..

  • ... I get on the train and I just stand about now that I don't think of you

I keep falling over I keep crushing out

When I see a face like you

    What am I coming to?

    I just don't know anymore

I Blame it on the black star

I Blame it on the falling sky

I Blame it on the satellite that beams me home

    Tonight, this is killing me

Tonight, this is killing me ...

  • I last listened to this when I was going through a divorce.......It's been a long while since I could feel good about listening to it again but I have just now - what a top tune, I've missed this album a lot.

  • @Jamandmand How boring.

  • Awesome song, awesome album and awesome band :DD

  • this song reminds me of all the regrets from 8th grade

  • i thank my friens for getting me to .ove radiohead and for telling me to sing this for the talent show at my school but i just did not have guts to adition and i am regreting big time..

  • I really don't see any resemblance between radiohead and keane. This particular album sounds rather muse-esque, since I believe they influenced muse heavily.

This album has a brit pop sound to it, which cannot be said for any of their following albums

  • So good - SO GOOD!

  • I love the way it uses a B minor and a D, the D being used in the intro, to emphasise happiness, but then it goes into an A minor to start the chorus to maybe show he can't get to happiness

  • @Splosho Nice point of view

  • T_________tttt

    i'm gonna meltdown x_X

  • Quelle voix !!

J'adore cette chanson surtout pour la voix de Thom Yorke ,divine, charmeuse avec quelque chose de gracieux...

  • The Bends is by far their best " traditional" rock album, ... before they broke the mold. Holy is right, OK Computer was a musical breakthrough, and probably is STILL ahead of it's time

  • majstic

  • lol, how bout we stop arguing over albums?

I've never heard a bad Radiohead album, they're all completely different. In Ranbows, OK computer, The Bends, etc. Each of them are fantastic. Comparing them, that's a hard decision.

    Almost pointless?

  • ok computer was a musical break through. simple as that

  • The Bends is an awesome album

  • Radiohead will never be this good again.

    The Bends = musical perfection.

  • lol radiohead has been much better ever since

don't get me wrong, the bends is great, but ok computer and everything after is better.
