@rukiddn: You might want to be aware that the Weather Bureau and various safety orgs discourage using an underpass for shelter. The wind can funnel through the underpass at terrific velocities and pull people out or drive objects thru; death has occurred in several instances. The famous Kansas video of people in an underpass was lucky; the underpass had open I-beams that one can get between; most underpasses don't. Better is to lay down in an open gully, and protect your head with your arms.

People who live in those areas that are prone to tornados are advised to do certain things. If they pass the bridge on the route of escape- if the tornado was heading towards them- the tornado would easily go faster then a vehicle. Drivers have a better chance of getting under the bridge and have the tornado pass over it.

No, Youtube is full of morons. The drivers are stopped under the bridge where it is safe. Had the tornado moved towards the cars, drivers would have evacuated to the overpass and the cars would have been torched.

Actually, it would be. Few tornados are strong enough to tear a bridge down. They often hop/pass over bridges just like deep holes. It's been sceintifically proven. A car can be lifted up and flung or crushed.
