  • This is a beautiful song and I am a Christian. His words will not offend God or Jesus but it brings Jesus into focus. It speaks to Jesus in the most honest expression i have heard in a long time

  • The best is realizing that you can comfortably swear when you talk to God..

  • Found this beautiful song thanks to TWLOHA, and cried the first time I listened to it. Wish I had found this so much sooner <3

  • I admire this man for his honesty in this beautiful song.

  • @CometxNova I admire cheese

  • sweet boner this songs beautiful

  • remember when you had 300 viwes on MYSPACE??? MYSPACE!!! hahaha i havent beeen on myspace in YEARS!

  • Every saint has a past, and every sinner has a future

  • this song is like a tailor-made prayer of my fears. it's simple and raw but its very close to what we all feel, i think. it's nice to know that we all aren't alone in feeling this way. i guess that's why this song elicits such a need to rape the repeat button....

  • This song is absolutely amazing, It make's me want to pick up my guitar and play.

  • The lyrics could be better...and the guitar riffs need more elaboration.

  • just sounds like the repeat-button will have no chance to relax...

  • i love this man for writing this song. he is beautiful

  • Food for thought!

Like my mother always told my brothers and I ''Take care of each other, you're all you have''

  • NOAHS A BEAST

  • 4 people are deaf. :)

  • this song is full of irony, it's brilliant.

  • I dont claim to know his motives for using "god damn" in his lyrics but I actually think its kinda fitting. You have to think outside of the box and look past the whole "lords name and vain", try and see the motive behind the phrase..GOD and DAMNATION, put those two words together and what do you get?? How many christians have we heard running around damning ppl in the name of god without even realizing it. And hurting ppl in the process especially when discusing the end times.

  • i feel like marrying this song. would be nice :D

  • I really like this guys voice and he has amazing song writing ability but his random "fuck" and "god damn" and other random cursing in these otherwise beautiful songs are so out of place. Such a shame because this guy is so talented and has a beautiful voice.

  • @AdoreYouInAshXI

    I think they fit perfectly

we give language, and more specifically "curse words", a lot of power and he fully utilizes the emphasis they can carry to make a point. Every time you hear him say Fuck or something it shocks you into paying more attention these songs wouldn't be the same and are therefore better with the cursing.

  • why is this song not on spotify? love it.

  • this song reminds me so muchh of my crush...last time we hung out together we listend to this song while waching the sunset holding hands<3...and i miss hjim so much...that this is all i listin to to keep a smile on my face........

  • One of the bravest, well written songs, I have ever heard. Truly a work of art. I hope Bob Dylan hears this one day.

  • The GD word was so unexpected and really cant firgure out why it was said.Looks like someone needs a dictionary and a better choice of lyrics!

  • @Tabitha2541 Think of the irony of using GD though. It's to make a point. And I think a very important one at that. He didn't choose it to be vulgar, but to be cutting.

  • @Tabitha2541

    this man is a poet

you don't get to condemn his choice of words because they offend your religious sensibilities

the bible may say not to take the lords name in vain but it also says an incredible amount of other hateful, violent and absurd commands

so it looks like someone (you) needs a bible and a better choice of "commandments" to follow

  • @Tabitha2541 Idiot.

  • I met Noah Gundersen. And hugged him. And called him beautiful. To which he replied "you're beautiful too", with a smile. He played this, and many other songs, live in my small town. I love him so much. I cried to his music. And when I told him his songs made me cry, he said "I'm glad my music has touched your heart." I touched his long dreads. It was the best night of my life. <3

  • I wanna talk to this guy!

  • this is the most beautiful thing ive ever heard..

  • I wish I could super like this song. He sings with such feeling.

  • i heard the first line and immediatley was like "I NEED TO DANCE TO THIS!" maybe not even formally choreograph anything, but i need to dance to it... and sing it... and everything. i love it.

  • This song is so fucking beautiful it's unbelievable.

  • I'm not christian or religious at all, but I love this song.

  • Couldn't have expressed anything better myself, this song is perfect.

  • these are the kind of people that give me hope for the future of music. thank you so much for making such and amazing song in every way.

  • @mjlj

Wake up, stop looking at the back of the head in front of you.

  • God's reply is, as it was to Job, "Where were you when I created the mountains?" "Who are you, whom I created, to question the Creator?"

Americans, see our lot in life as being a difficult one. The majority

of our fellow earthlings, surely must have little sympathy for our "problems"

in light of the embarrassment of riches we all enjoy, such as clean

water, food, shelter, clothing, telephones, television, Internet, and even

    our very own automobile.

  • It is the perennial question of the Biblically uneducated pagan seeking

to understand the mystery of his own existence within the context of a

world seen as being a construct of a god that is clearly incompatible with

the "just, kind, loving, righteous" God of the Bible (with no regard for the

other characteristics of that multi-faceted God, such as His holiness).

  • This is beautiful indeed. Thank you Noah for such great insight

  • Awesome song!!

  • omg this song wrapped up my thoughts into 3 minutes and 43 seconds... omg. its so perfect!

  • <3 I love this song. Never heard such honesty phrased so beautifully. Breaks my heart

  • Sorry for all the people that were offended by the last comment i posted. my YouTube account was hacked and I'am terribly sorry for any harm or offence that my last comment caused.

  • im am going through such a hard time in life this song helps so much

Are you a Christian? I would assume so by your "quit your whining god bashers"

If you do consider yourself a Christian, I just want to say as a Christ follower that I don't appreciate the way you responded to this video or the comments on this video. This comment is disrespectful and childish.

This song has a great deal of honesty--honesty most Christ followers can't attain because they are fearful of the judgment from others. If he isn't a Christian, he's closer to the cross of redemption than most are, because he can be honest about his fears.

  • @LoveAFireFighter he's definitely soul searching. you can hear it in a lot of his songs.

  • This song is so beautiful...and disparaging. It almost makes me cry. It's everything I would write in a song...if I wasn't afraid of people hearing it. This is what God wants from us I think.

  • This song is so beautiful...and disparaging. It almost makes me cry. It's everything I would write in a song...if I wasn't afraid of people hearing it.

  • As a Christian it's interesting to hear things from a different perspective. This is a beautiful song. Totally made me cry.

  • just to ruin the cool mellow vibe, THIS SONG GIVES ME A LADY BONER

  • i just dont understand how this has so little views...

  • @bluedukedevil15 everyone else bought the song. we're just the goons that think he gets paid by advertisements

  • Wow. This is true worship. Its from the heart. Its real questions to God. Great song

  • this is beautiful. I respect this so much. and im an athiest, or at least i thought i was/am . i respect that instead of abandoning religoon he questions it. and all other fault in the world he questions, yet hardly blames or abandons.

  • This song is beautiful and I am obsessed with it.

  • I love this song ! :)

  • My favorite. My theme song. My everything. Thank you Noah Gunderson.<3

  • pretty good like the guitar :) !!! Sorry about the Christians that treated you badly, Jesus would only want to Agape (love) you. Maybe you will find answers today or whoever reads this post. Theres a couple good youtube videos you can look up Todd white, Dan Mohler or Curry Blake. God Bless.

  • so much meaning, this song is officially my favorite

  • @ThomasAChamberlain Thanks, man.

Thanks for voluntarily being there for someone you've never even met.

It's cool that there are still people out their that care about others' well-being. :)

  • @Brandynrulezd00d There are always people like that over the internet my friend, it's just finding the right ones is all.., seeing as 90% of the people on the internet are assholes.

  • @MrAiden775 Yeah. That's true. A lot of them magically grow courage to do and say things over the Internet that they would never even think of saying in person. I wish the Internet was a nicer place, honestly.

  • It made me cry

  • the lyrics say what we all are scared to say!

  • @bryanIsbarbaric What are we scared to say and why did this get so many thumbs up?

  • Thank you for putting this song on here.

  • This man is my inspiration and one of the few reasons why I'm still alive.

I've been listening to him for ages and he is the only thread holding my life together.

  • @Brandynrulezd00d That is incredibly sad. Please seek help, it is not good to be that dependent on a person you lack a personal relationship with.

  • @rootvalue Some people have issues in their life, don't tell him to seek help if he's already found someone to help him deal with his issues. Even if it's a little bit of hope. We are entitled to our own thoughts and opinions, even on our own lives. People lack a personal relationship with God.. That doesn't mean it's not good. It gives them hope & belief.

  • @Brandynrulezd00d damn man...I know the feeling... there was a time when david bazan, and Dan managans music was doing the same for me...this is bbrilliant too...hope things got better for you

  • @Brandynrulezd00d goodluck x

  • @Brandynrulezd00d That's unhealthy, you should talk to someone about all the things you're unhappy about.
