  • @confidence1889 As opposed to what, actually playing the music myself? Sort of defeats the purpose of doing a cover song I think...

  • WOW ! Great Cover !!

  • if you tell me you are playing the keyboard or piano or whatever, I wouldnt believe it!! :) yes I would and damn your good!

  • Yep that's me...in all my errant glory...rofl.

  • Ive been watching your videos but just noticed this one today. This is one of my favorite songs.

What instruments are you playing in this recording. Your voice is awsome.....

  • This is one of my earliest multi-track recordings which I did before I had some of the instruments I possess now, such as a bass guitar and DR-880 Dr Rhythm. My friend JJ Sharpe helped me out by playing the acoustic rhythm guitar, but I covered everything else myself. Sorry, I didn't see this comment until just now. LC

  • great Job Silver Hamer!!! Is that Freewheelling Franklin in the video?

  • Sorry I haven't seen this comment until just now...anyways, yea that's good ole Franklin. I was a big-time fan of those Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers back in the day.

  • Nice cover SilverHamer!!

  • Nice video. Song brings back a lot of memories. I just found out they started in Spartanburg, SC, just up the road from me. Thanks for posting.

  • I'd be willing top jam with ya anytime man! you definitly rock.

  • Awesome cover and video. this is excellent too!

  • Thanks AxeGrindinLefty! I would really like to re-do this one on my newer gear, and invite others to help out. Maybe we could crank out something that is more on par with MTB's original. :D That would be hard to beat though.

  • LC you are amazing! Can't wait to see the new Les. Awesome.

  • Do you know something I don't? LOL. The new Les?? DID I WIN??? Dang, I better go poking around to see. LOL.

  • impressive, enjoyed very much

  • Thank you! :D

  • I am missing an image of the Gibson SG in this video. What's up with that, Larry? :p

  • aw shucks...I clean forgot...hahaha!

  • You have some cracking instruments there fella - and you play them oh so well

    nice one

    Davi

  • Thanks, Davi! :D

  • Yo Silver, sounds pretty good. I remember doing some of these the old fashioned way, bouncing tracks back and forth on the old Sony 4 track.

  • Thanks goldhat3! Do you remember all of that tape hiss as well? LOL. Thank goodness for digital recording, eh?

  • What the devil... Do you actually own all these guitars?!?! That's incredible!! oh great work here by the way

  • Hi Dan. Actually, what you see in this video is only about half of my guitars. I have 19, and when I find a neck for my current project I will have 20 :D LOL. I know...but my mother gave me a T-shirt for Christmas with the slogan "You can never have too many guitars" emblazened on the back. :D

  • Great Job! You Should Cover Can't You See by Marshall Tucker :) Great intro

  • It's going to be in the works soon...:D

  • WOW!!!O.O

  • ok thanks

  • the comment that you left me is gone

  • Fan-double-tastic!! Who's the man? You're the man! Who's the man? You're the man! Really enjoyed this first thing this morning! I would like to knock this one down along with ya sometime! I'm gonna start doing that flute part I think cause it sorta makes it don't it? Excellent job Larry! Always, always a joy coming over here to see ya!

    Billo

P.S. Not that it means anything... but I nailed them big stars for ya! 8-)

  • Nice guitar work here LC!

  • Love this song Hamer! Excellent job! :)

  • For xguitardude1...for some reason I am unable to reply to you here, or in PM...it's like you have me blocked or something.

This is a very simple song progression...

    Intro: D - A - G - D (repeat)

    Verse: D - F#m - G - D (repeat)

    Chorus: D - G - D - G - D - G

    Turnaround: D - A - G - D

Play along with LC and you'll have it down in no time :)

    LC

  • ok thanks

  • thanks man

  • oops powerstation earth

  • 5by5 , i have one of those old bass heads but mein is a powersation eath.

  • That's not a bass head, although it IS sitting atop a Fender bass cab in that one shot. That is a Peavey Musician guitar amp head. I now have it on top of a Crate 4 X 12 cab. I switch off between it and my Fender Cyber Twin amp.

  • cool but do you know what im talkin about? powerstation earth bass head?

  • Amazing is the only word that can describe your videos silverhamer. It is like hearing the originals.

  • Woah, thanks zepp!

  • This is great! I enjoyed the cover quite a bit! :)

  • can you teach us how tp play this song. i play the guitar too. :)

  • more great work as usual, i'd give 10 stars if i could

  • Hey, thanks TrumpetDude! :)

  • very nice vid cool telly you hace :)

  • Thank you...as soon as I have access to all of my toys I will be producing a new video with the Larrycaster :)

  • So HOW MANY GUITARS you got big boy? Great job on this (belated as it is 4 years late). Did you do the flute too? Loved it.

  • It's a plastic flute...a la keyboard flute program. Sort of cheesey. I should get my buddy Jak Wimmler to lay down this flute part for me. I would if I could locate the original tracks...otherwise I'll have to do the whole thing over again...HAHAHA. Call me lazy.

  • Okay. LAZY. LOL Your so good at that multitrack stuff. I'm the Lazy one. Imagine trying to do 30 multitrack a week? Ain't now way.

  • Dang...30??!! Wheww. That's a heck of a lot of pickin' and grinnin', and putting up with Billo...JUST KIDDING, about the picking and grinning part anyways...BWAHAHAHA. :D

Presently I have 19 1/2 guitars...unless you count my double-neck as 2, then it's 20 1/2. I have an SG Body (probably an Epiphone) which needs a neck. Right now I put strings on 20 necks though. I have a T-shirt that says "You Can Never Have Too Many Guitars" on the back of it...hehehe. Santy Clause gave it to me.

  • Your a hoot. Man, I get this T5 in my hands and can't seen holding another except when I sit down with my Taylor 410ce. Got to see that collection sometime. How many does Steven Segal have?

  • Don't get me to lying, but I'm sure he has a very nice collection of some really great vintage instruments. I hear ya about the Taylors...I just like a little variety in tone, but many of my guitars aren't what I'd call collector's items either...LOL. I have a few that I could part with and never miss.

  • great video larry... for those of us who follow your music, this video shows inside the silverhamer camp (which looks like a real cool place to hang out). your love for music is a bright light that is nothing less than inspiring for those who come across you like i did a year ago.

    thank you!

    brad

  • Thank you, Brad! :) I figure if I can't enjoy myself playing it, I might as well sell all of my gear and find something else to do. :) Thanks for the great comment. LC

  • Yay, first of all! Funny pictures!
