My friend told me that Brent wrote this song when he found out he was going to be a daddy. Thnx alot for posting this cause i have been wanting to listen to this song!!
it was very common in the 80's for studio musicians to play solos and things on bands albums with no credit given to them...it wouldn't be shocking if he didn't play all the parts
yeah the proof is in the credits....dont say i dont have proof..if you can read you can see that he helped write 5 songs on each record..thats 6-8 songs per record that he had no ivolvement with. None of the hits are his riffs. "45" was written by Tony Battiglia and Brent...now you think jasin wrote that guitar part? no cause he would have had a co-write
You typed this: "I doubt he played all of hte stuff on record." (The typo was yours.)
Find me anyone besides Jasin who was credited with recording (not writing) guitar on either of Shinedown's two currently-released albums, and then maybe I'll reconsider my claim that you don't have proof for your statements.
P.S. I find it hilarious that your "if you can read" jab was placed in a comment with horrendous grammar.
I think the original line up can NEVER be replacedm, because it's the original, you know, it's the ORIGINAL line up. You can never recreate that sense of purity.
In honesty, I think it's a tragedy that they couldn't be doing this AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME new stuff with the original group, but saying that, they new guys look to be great musicians and will ensure Shinedown carry on.
Regardless of who is technically "better", I'd take the original guys any day.
And fyi, Jasin doesn't have to prove anything to you. The six years of blood, sweat, and tears that he gave to this band aren't diminished by a few off-nights that you witnessed (unless you're willing to admit that the "good amount of shows" that you saw constitute a majority of all of Shinedown's shows) or a dearth of writing credits that you saw in a CD booklet (Care to comment on how "little" Jasin contributed to the Leave a Whisper CD?).
i wonder if nick could play while throwing up... i doubt it haha. Anyway, i dont really know what live show dewey has been watching but jasin commands the stage, alot of time i found myself watching him over Brent. Nicks great, but Jasin is a one of a kind personality and his guitar is pure soul.
Haha, that video where Jasin pukes but CONTINUES to play shows how truly kick ass the guy is. I mean that took guts, when he was chucking his up!!! Haha!
" i just love how this guitar work is so much better then jasins and you guys deny it."
Kindly point out where I did such a thing. I could care less about whether you think Jasin or Nick is a better guitarist; downplaying Jasin's impact on Shinedown is simply a rude thing to do.
this goes with my message below, I do know Eric Bass took Brads Stewarts place and Nick perry took Jason Todds. Didnt want anyone to think I got them mixed up.
i'm so tired of the way SD fans are acting.I have been a shinedown fan since the very beginning, drove 3 hours to see them the first time and 4 1/2 the second time. Only one other band i'd do that for. So rethink your douchebag comment buddy, the guy said this is the new and improved Shinedown and I agree. SD has never been this good live and just so you know Jasin was playing others people's riffs on the previous records and i'm sure on this one too. I doubt he played all of hte stuff on record
"Jasin was playing others people's riffs on the previous records and i'm sure on this one too. I doubt he played all of hte stuff on record"
First you spew these unsubstantiated claims on the Shinedown forums, now on YouTube. Preferring Shinedown's current incarnation to it's previous one is cool but belittling a past member's involvement is not (especially without proof).
ummm, did anyone mention the album? I was talking about the band not the album. So maybe you need to rethink your post. I can assure you if someone need a Shinedown lesson its you, because ive been around a while.
Hey douchebag the two new guys didn't contribute one note to the new stuff. They are just covering what the others already created. How can this be the new and improved Shinedown when they aren't playing THEIR music. You'll have to wait until the 4th album to see how the new Shinedown will sound. In my opinion, unless Jasin comes back, Shinedown will never improve. When you are being blown away by The Sound of Madness, keep in mind that neither Nick Perri or Eric Bass had anything to do with it.
Least I'm pretty sure...that was in san Antonio right?
