@shilla272 no it's not. this is written by Jim Steinman. Jim originally planned to put this song on Meat Loaf's Bat Out of Hell II but they decide to use I'd Do Anything For Love, so Jim gave it to Celine. Meat Loaf finally did this song with Marion Raven on his Bat Out of Hell III as a duet song. I'd say both versions are great!
This song was written for her by Meatloaf's major composer, so it's no wonder it sounds similar to Meatloaf's. It's not fait to say that Celine was sort of cribbing him.
This video was shot in the Czech Rep. in the baroque castle of Ploskovice. It's about 50 km northward of Prague. It was once a summer residence of a retired Austro-Hungarian emperor and Czech king in one person Ferdinand I. (1793-1875).
They filmed it for 5 days, mostly at night. Celine was quite shy and humble, and a very nice lady to everybody indeed.
No, I didn't. But I used to work in that castle as a tourist guide. Unfortunatelz it was after Celine had filmed the video there. I didn't meet her personaly. I was told about her filming there by other guides. This castle is quite favourite among filmakers. Many fairytales were shot there as well as music videos.
Shot in 1996 in the summer palace of the Czech Emperor, the video shows Celine Dion haunted by her lover who died in a motorcycle crash. It was directed by Nigel Dick.
