  • This is great using FCP presets much easier than resorting to after effects

  • Excellent tutorial. After years of shooting 16mm (and some 8mm), this comes very close to a standard telecine transfer. Especially warm highlights and faded bluish shadows. Thank you!

  • what if you don't want the whole video to look like this...because that last minute quicktime conversion effect with change the entire video right? if there is any way to only apply the aged effects to the beginning or end please let me know how. thanks

  • Thanks I lot, I just finished a music video using your tips...

  • Fantastic. Just shows what you can do with the tools already at your disposal. But, again, I would also like to know, what camera did you use for your original footage. Thanks.

  • That is very nice. I actually colour correct shockingly on windows movie maker

  • LOL this is awesome!

  • Is there a way to do this on Sony Vegas?

  • Aphex Twin!!! :D

  • Good job. what camera do u use?

  • can I do this with Final Cut Express ?

  • Aphex Twin ftw

  • the start without filter remind me the blairwitch project...

  • thanks a lot!

  • so from what I understand this software is only for MAC, can anyone give me a good free software that can do the similar effects for Windows vista, Please and thanks.

  • @mzuneak Sony Vegas, Adobe After Effects.

  • @Gotsens Look in the description.

  • @Gotsens If you were actually smart, you would read the discription, and see the written tutorial

  • @Gotsens Also, The title says WITH WRITTEN TUTORIAL!

  • That's amazing:)

  • use magic bullet, this is whatever

  • @EdoHDpro, Magic Bullet is for Adobe Premiere Pro. We're talking about Final Cut Pro here. These are two different editing systems.

  • @seize7days You funny magic bullet looks its most famous for being on final cut pro, not being on premier, go to red giant software website and check it out. Magic bullet is available through all the platforms right about now.

  • @EdoHDpro, that's alright. I ain't gonna spend a penny if I can do it like here, his gentleman just showed us an awesome idea here. Apparently, Magic Bullet is for you, not me. I have no need for it.

  • SO GOOD!

  • NANNOU.

You just got some mad props yo.

  • Why post the video, if you aren't gonna show the people how to do it???

  • @kevwlew LOOK IN THE DESCRIPTION

  • Please look up the words "How to". These are GREAT before and after examples and the final product is very effective and looks awesome. But NOWHERE in the clip does it show me how to.

    I'm just saying.

  • One of the best tutorials I've ever come across.. great job buddy :D

  • Thanks for the comments, everyone!

  • Thanks for posting this! It gives me some great ideas for some new videos!

  • Very effective tutorial! Thanks!!!

  • awesome!!!! whats the song?

  • Wow, this is fantastic! Looks very authentic! Seems like people are really into using super 8 lately. I'm terrible with film cameras! Thanks for putting this up, it looks great!

  • Please help me im trying to figure out the filters you used! I hope you can help me if not thanks anyways nice video

  • Hhmm... If you are using Final Cut, to match up audio to video, I recommend using markers (hitting the 'M' key in the sequence while video is playing) to mark off the beats. Modify -> Speed or Apple+J will allow you to change the speed of the video clip.

  • Loved the video but I have a question. Let's say that you were shooting a live concert, where the audio had to match the movement on the video (ie where the guitarist's actions had to match the audio). How would you slow the video down? Or would you just skip that step?

  • Aphex Twin rima com FTW !

  • This vid is friggin amazing!

  • Song is Nannou by Aphex Twin

  • @BleachedStaticFilms Thanks man! I did your tut step by step on some footage i shot on a my little flip cam. It looks pretty cool!!!! Learning as well, but it's art so it's all wonderful and so subjective! Great video, i'm sure it will recieve thousands of views as people discover it!!

  • Sorry for the late response!

I posted the instructions for applying a film look to video in the video description.
