  • He hates that whale.

  • I use to talk to him daily, about cars. Who cares about acting? That's work!!

  • When Sam said * Hmm.. It looks like you forgot to shave this morning.. Here, let me help you out a bit..*

    My life changed.

  • lol he doesnt even remmember that during the game the go back 20 years to when sam's daughter was a litle girl... late 30's?! xD

  • (HEad Lock) You think your friends can SHOOT you? LEts find out!

  • This Guy is AWESOME!

  • I've always loved his voice and as far back as I can remember, well before "Scanners' or 'Visiting Hours', his voice had this tone to it that others have called 'gravelly', I say his voice is lot more like thunder wrapped in velvet. Something that can be both powerful & intimidating or smooth & mellow like a 25 year old Scottish whiskey!

He can growl in my direction any day!!

  • sorry but the laugh in the very beginning is megagay!

  • raywilliamjohnson?

  • @AnimusPipboy lol ok sry then

  • @Pepsicola2142 You fucking idiot he was clearly joking god how can you be that stupid?

  • @Pepsicola2142 No you need to understand when someone is joking.

  • Wow... as much as I respect the guy as an actor, something tells me he has never played any of the Splinter Cell games, let alone watched anyone else play them. You get major percentage deductions for most of the times you kill people, with the only exceptions being when you are ordered to kill guys like Hugo Lacerda who really *need* to be killed. Sam Fisher does NOT go around killing people willy-nilly, Mr. Ironside, not in the first three games at least.

  • Michael Ironside, greatest method actor or voice actor who has ever lived. If they ever DO make that Splinter Cell movie they teased on Chaos Theory, it will have to star him. If he can't do all the physical stuff, then it will just have to be animated or CGI, or maybe stunt doubles if it's just a few things he's getting too old for. But NO ONE should actually play Sam Fisher except for Ironside. His voice is too hardcore to emulate, and if they did they'd miss the emotion he brought with it.

  • thank god he wasn't robocop. he's way cooler than robocop. who needs robocop when you've got Razak and his Roughnecks?

  • @TheZynMan He was to be cast in 'Robocop' as the crook who worked for evil corporate exec Ronny Cox, I can't remember his name, but I know he played one fathers in 'That Sixties Show'. Personally, I would have cast him as the evil corporate exec instead, he would have been great in that.

To think that there was talk of casting Keifer Sutherland as Sam Fisher, Blasphemy!!

  • dude this is why i love sam fisher and micheal ironside. micheal actually cares about making sam as realistic as possible and about giving the character a human touch rather than just a virtual dude who knows krav maga. you dont see too many other games with that in them...

  • New SC game under development by Ubisoft Montreal.

  • @Gam3Junkie Splinter Cell 6 (working title),let's hope Ubisoft Montreal is kinder than Ubisoft Toronto to actually step up and make it a multiplatform.

  • COOLEST VOICE EVAR!!!!

  • Actually Sam is in his early 50's. Funny when Michael says he's probably in his late 30's.

  • @SamFisherCell True. Weird that he thinks that. If Sam was in his late 30s that would mean that he got Sarah when he was about 13 years old.

  • @SamFisherCell He was probably talking about his first voice of Sam, when Sam was young...

  • @leivabernie Sam was in his late 40's in the first splinter cell :P

  • If I got the chance to interview Michael Ironside I would not only ask about Splinter Cell, I would have asked also about V, Totall Recall and would he had said yes If he got the chance to play RoboCop.

  • @snopp9000

Legend has that he was the one choosen to play the title role of RoboCop, but was cut off the project for having a build too big to fit inside the suit.

The role went to Peter Weller, instead.

  • I think he's kidding about 'doing it for the money' because I've hearcd him say that a number of times, usually with an evil gleam in his eyes. He's B.S.ing about that because you hear him talk about how people from all over the world have used "SC" as a way of about what's really going on in their part of the world. He might think himself a "Luddite" but, sounds more like he's just a bit of a klutz like many others, including myself

He's just got a really wicked sense of humor, that's all

  • @iolaus he basically said he was lying cuz he was like there is ubisoft people over there and they laughed which infers it was a joke

  • @iolaus no matter what, he still has the coolest voice on the planet even cooler then Diesel

  • I wonder if his daughter has played any of the Splinter Cell games.

  • i dont care if he is doing this just for money i hope he keeps doing the voice of sam fisher because sam is soules without Michael Ironside's voice behind him

  • It's obious this guy doesn't play games. Was Sam just slaughtering people in the previous games? Those decisions are in the hands of the players, you can't fill Sam with fixed behaviours. Splinter Cell is one of the few games you can beat without killing anybody, that's what the gadgets are for.

Curiously this new game is more action-oriented and Sam looks really desperate and angry trying to revenge his daughter.

Anyway, what Mr.Ironside thinks doesn't affect his remarkable performance as Sam

  • @tetsugal You do realize that he was talking about how the character was before the first splinter cell was released, right? He's a large part of why sam is the way he it.

  • <3 Thanks!
