Hey i dont know how old this video is but have you gone to this program yet because i want to take this program for art and i want to make sure it is worth going to what do you think of the program and how well do you think you need to know Japaneses like enough to get by or totally fluent
i am not there yet, the art program at temple japan is more digital arts focused rather than traditional mediums. As for speaking japanese for temple you need ZERO, temple is an american campus in japan, so you get an american degree. as for living in japan you should learn some japanese to get by. Contact a counselor, they are all great to work with you!
Good luck with the process. I know it can be tedious. You will need to get a foreigners card when you come here I believe if you are here on anything other than a tourist visa.
Thanks Kris! For the visa it will obviously be a student one, and i belive i have to renew it once a year, as well as getting my green card. If you check out the book it would be nice to hear what differences there are since the book was written almost 20 years ago.
I just added the amazon link for the book =) I am enjoying it alot even tho it is set in the late 80's japan so some of it is outdated... check it out!
