It's not insulting it's a joke for god sake, no ones sat there laughing at deaf people, it's just a dance.

And also clapping isn't insulting to deaf people just waving your hands is obviously going to have more of an impact than noise.

Some people just complain for no good reason.

It's not so much that deaf people don't like applause, it's simply that profoundly deaf people lack the sensory input to appreciate it. Holding the hands up at face level with the palms forward and fingers spread and then rotating the wrists back and forth is the preferred method. The faster you perform this action, the "louder" and more appreciative you are.

This is a skit, only meant to make fun of the song. Ofcourse I assume that you are yourself deaf and can therefore not hear the song, yes?
