For the green lettering, it's an "I", not a sideways "H," and it's an "L" not a "7." The word is Yggdrasil, the World Tree of Norse mythology. It is said that nine worlds revolve around this tree, one of which is our own (Midgard), and another of which is Asgard, home of the gods.

The word you're looking for in 4:28 is "Yggdrassil" Which is the name of the big tree in Nörse mythology.

I know several people have mentioned this, but I'm almost certain that the green letters spell "Yggdrasil", the Norse World Tree. If you look at it right, the "sideways H" can be interpreted as an upper-case letter i drawn out of proportion. The L at the bottom isn't sideways either, it too is simply drawn out of proportion.

This is interesting when you take into account the frequent illustrations of trees elsewhere in the notebook, although I can't see any other connections between the two.

Jumping on the bandwagon that is the Slender Man case(s), Matthew and Logan's messy handwriting is similar to the messy handwriting of Alex's "drawings" from the Marble Hornet videos.

I agree with everyone that the green word is Yggdrasil though why it would be included is beyond me (it seems to be more out of place that the rest of the "random" contents of the notebook).

This is fantastic. As an avid fan of Lovecraft, I just discovered the Slender Man Mythos via TV Tropes a day or so ago. I may be quite late, but I absolutely can't get enough. I've watched the 'Marble Hornets' videos and am working my way through 'Just Another Fool.' They have both proved to be both suspenseful mysteries and clever interpretations of the Slender Man myth, and this video was very well done. Bravo!

I've noticed as i look into this i've devolped a sickining flu, doctors said it was nothing more then a Major Sinus Infection, i've been coughing ever since, and i've also noticed weird drawing ending up on my homework, that i do late at night, they're looking to just be lines, but i'm starting to get worried.

Others have noted Yggdrasil, but something else was said in the notebook which is related to Norse mythology.

Dav mentioned it in the first video, it's on the page with the pencil square, written in red ink. It said "the ash as it stands". Yggdrasil is an ash tree, and the ash tree itself holds sacred meaning in the Norse mythology.

Also was written was "The old tree grows as the giant slips free." Giants are featured in Norse tales as well, as enemies to the pantheon.

Yggdrasil is the tree of life in Norse mthology. A bird, if I remember right a crow or magpie, stands on one branch, and some form of hungry dog is connected to it also; possibly a fox, which I'm pretty sure is Loki, the trickster god. When one dies they stand beneath the tree and are judged worthy of continuing onto the afterlife, if I remember correct.

From what I can remember about Yggdrasil, there's an eagle at the tree's top and the dragon Nidhoggr chewing at its roots. And the squirrel Ratatosk runs back and forth between the two carrying messages from one to the other but always purposefully getting them wrong to keep the other two angry at each other.

Some thoughts after watching this:

1. It seems that there is a connection to Norse mythology.

2. The page that spells out Yggdrasil is also numbered as one. Maybe it would be worth it to follow these as if they were page numbers and see if there is a discernible narrative to be discovered?

3. Strangling was a preferred ritualistic killing method in Northern countries.
