  • Back then your street cred depended on how good of a dancer you and your crew were. Miss those days

  • dang he is sexy too well was and he is a robot

  • He's a fucking Robot

  • @lomsack ikr

  • Awesome!

  • THIS GUY IS THE BEST

  • wat song ?

  • @dotsydude tour de france by kraftwerk

  • @TehPurplePenguin thanks

  • @dotsydude tour de France kraftwerk 1983 edition

  • 5 people aint black

  • @sxwee back in the days there was no black vs white.you just dance you know, the rest didnt matter.it was about having fun and impress the girls lol.

  • for all yall who see those other videos that come out when you type in the search 'crazy dance moves'

lets see them go 3 rounds against this nigga

    hes hella smooth though damn

  • Long Beach's own Michael Chambers

  • old school documentary from breaking and entering~ they have the documentary on youtube~

  • @southcali71 breakin n enterin

  • Excellent waves and hitting ...

  • how about ticking tom?

  • Bruce Lee!!!

  • old school poppings the best!!!!!

  • OMFG WOW THATS SICK

  • IF U LOOK AT 37 SECONDS U SEE TACO ON THE RIGHT SIDE . HE'S GOOD BUT HE CAN'T FUCK WITH TURBO

  • the guy in red on the left is rapper legend Ice T

  • Shrimp is slightly better then Pop n Taco ...just slightly by move range

  • This guy was one of Michael Jackson's dance teachers. Shouldn't be surprising how good he is.

  • U just gotta love mike tyson lil brother ones a fighter and the others a dancer

  • Everybody here keeps saying the name of the band that did this song is Kraftwerk. When actually this version is done by a group called "10-Speed" the songs name is of course "Tour De France". Which came out in 1984. I know this because I used to DJ back in the 80s and 90s and when I purchased this record I was like wtf. It's a great version, but not the original. Enjoy!

  • A little history for ya......this is the guy that taught Michael how to dance

  • @tim23tom23

one of them, anyways. there was also pop n taco (also in breakin) and the EBs

  • @DieBlutgrafin thanks for the info..I think I'll do some break dancing after my homeboys leave..LOL

  • this is the greatest dance short ever made. i have a boner

  • @tomalba7 Okay?. . .

  • NAME MUSIC

  • this is da greatest shit i ever seen

  • the real music is much better is you ever get to see the real documentary

  • haha, my mom is hanging with Michael "boogaloo shrimp" chambers right now. aka this guy. pretty cool.

  • taco vs shrimp who would win

  • @jawan2005 Wheew...that's a hell of a decision!! Both are them are VICIOUS!!

  • @jawan2005 shrimp by a long shot taco is stiff

  • @jawan2005 shrimp would win

  • seen this clip so many times and it's still dope as ever

  • that's sick crazy!

  • Yeah, he the ish!!! Great job as always, Turbo...

  • pure magic....

  • micheal jackson hired boogaloo shrimp from 1983 to 1991 and he taugh MJ the moonwalk he taught micheal how to dance can u beileve that shit bagloo the shit

  • @jawan2005 actually michael already knew how2 dance but ye he showed him a lot of moves:D

  • @Blackjesus3 right and when it was time for mj to get in a video or on stage he aint did none of that shit shrimp taugh him

  • @jawan2005 :) somewhat

  • to all those who said Bogaloo taught Mj to Moonwalk, check out " beyond the moonwalk" . Boogaloo is the best because he involves his whole body in the illusion. Too much dilution of the pure forms these days, too many wannabes lowering the standard, wanting to master this and that and not being content to truly master any one form. the illusion of being a robot IS the mastery so having a fat bag of tricks wont save you if your "illusion" is just OK

  • @80sOGRE absolutely dude, i couldnt agree more. The majority of rubbish posted on youtube would have been laughed at back in the 80s. Doing the movement is one thing - but mastering the illusion is what takes practice, skill and discipline.

  • HE WAS THE THE BEST

  • man holy shit this fucker was unreal,i've never seen anything like this

  • song?

  • @clipsahoii Kraftwork - Tour de france

  • the track is kraftwork

  • FREAKING LEGEND!!!!!!!!!!

  • tour de france

  • whats the name of that track!?!?

  • They use to really kick it and do this at the Radio Tron club in Macarthur Park here in Los Angeles which till this day it still exist and functions for special events like Breakdance Fest every year!

  • damnn how on earth can you wave, tut, pop and lock all at the SAME TIME?

  • THE BADDE$T EVAH! OG LEGEND!

    J!

  • AWESOME!

  • TUNE N2 ME,HAA !!

  • its like stop animation

  • fuckin AMAZING, OMG

  • mad props!

  • i wrote shrimp in the search and this came out :speechless

  • does anybody know if BOOGALOO SHRIMP ever battled MR ANIMATION??

  • @dulaone i don't think it ever happened. animation was still poppin' w/ the likes of jr. boogaloo in oceanside, ca at the time shrimp was w/ the the midnite breakers battlin' other LA crews on hollywood and highland in the early/mid 80's.

  • @unclebraddah Really? Thinks for the info.I guess I just made the assumption since these cats were apart of the same art form in the same era while being from the same area they would have battle. Although if they did maaaan imagine that seen.

  • BULL SHIT the officalretroneon

  • I wonder what poppin taco was thinking there?

  • i knew he was good but not that good

  • Man, it's got to be the shoes! hahaha

The innovators of break and pop were always wearing chucks! Hmmm....makes you wonder doesn't it?

  • WTF that nigga is nice. I'm bout ta start popping lol

  • thats old school right there. just the way it should be.

  • THE BEST EVER!!

  • MJ learned from alot of guys in person and thru video. Mainly from Shrimp and Taco (who worked for MJ for 15yrs). In fact i drove them to meet MJ's producer Bob Giraldi's house in hollywood the day they 1st met MJ. I didn't get to meet him though. Bummer. But MJ learned from the best there was.

  • Turbo is tight now, i grew up on him , he didnt teach Michal jackson shit, the dude from shalamar talk michael how to moonwalk and someone from Turbo's Group, listen now key word Group" taught Michael Jackson how to pop" Mike was older than Turbo and turbo joined his dance group yrs after it had formed already

  • Micheal Jackson himself said he learned the moonwalk from a kid that use to dance on the street. He said that on that nbc interview from like 05 I think. Turbo used to dance on the corner under the name "Boogaloo Shrimp" Turbo also performed the moonwalk on breakin' 2. Shalamar? Man that dude couldn't dance for shit lol oh wait you talking about the dude who was dancing on their video in the tux?

  • @Trill ur wrong cuz he said that the moonwalk came from kidz in the ghetto, but he learned the moonwalk from jeffrey daniels and its proved

  • @atlmycity2 Wrong!! Poppin taco & Boogaloo Shrimp Both taught mike dawg, get ur Facts str8! Taco & Shrimp were the best in the group-Midnite Breakers!

  • Wrong. Shrimp Taught Him How To Moonwalk Correctly. Michael Jackson Already Learned It But He Was Never As Good As Shrimp At Moonwalkin.

  • the move is called the backslide. moonwalking is gliding in a circle. but ur right though. Michael Jackson learned the backslide from Jeffery Daniel but Shrimp taught him how to get longer strides out of it.

  • What song is this!?

  • Tour de france

  • Kraftwerk - Tour de France

  • omg i love salah and him someone knows a good battle

  • "And it's not animation"

Yes, there are a hybrid of styles in this video but he did do animation. In fact, Michael Jackson approached "Boogaloo" when he was 14 years old and, over a 4 year period of studying, learned how to do animation.

  • Not when he was 14, and that 4 year period was with Shrimp.

  • Yes he was 14 years old when He and MJ met and you just reiterated what I already said. Michael Jackson studied with Boogaloo Shrimp over a 4 year period. Lol.

  • Who do u think wins between him and Salah...?

  • probably salah.

shrimp is probably in his early 50s.

  • It's not break dancing for crying out loud, lol. I know plenty of older poppers who can still do it, quite well.

  • BOOGALOO IS 42

  • Shrimp would throw is ass in the trash. Shrimp Prime vs. Salah Prime.... lets be serious. Salah has the new age advantage where all the research has been done and he has a more expanded selection of styles.

  • I'd go with the Shrimp, too. I'm old-school partial. I his prime right there on the drive-screen. Dude was bad, and I'm sure he can still get down. I give Salah his respect, though. Boogaloo would definitely have to update game, but I'm sure he's on that.

The battle scene is different now, less hard-rock grit but more glamour. You gotta entertain the crowd more, put on a show. And that's cool. Turbo comes from them Electro Roc dayz, where it was all about breaking the man down in front of you.

  • Shrimp wins every time, salah would bore the audience by playing with this hat, as shrimp would glide to victory :)

  • I agree. in some ways its an unfair comparison as one comes from around the beginnings of the movement and that was like 25+ years ago. having said that I will say this in defence of some old school poppers, thou their bag of tricks was limited, the standard was high. Boogaloo glides better and his full body moves and dime stops look sharper but only by a razor edge. salah's strob and fast forwards are Epic. 100 years from now I believe both would have their place in the HipHop museum

  • To me, Boogaloo Shrimp is the king. Just like Elvis. There's nobody that can ever top him

  • agreed, him and Bruno Falcon.

  • elvis aint the king, but boogaloo shrimp is amazing

  • Damn dude, I've been trying to add some animation to my glides but I can't seem to glide whilest' trying to do stuff with my upper body. It's weird yet turbo flawlessly does it around 0:40 and in every other vid I've seen of him.

  • Boogaloo shrimp, not turbo. And its not animation.

  • ayo thanks for remindin me of the raw talents of shrimp(considerin d fact dat es bustin out shit way ahed of his tymmmloll)..i spoted u from the last wiggles vid.respect (add me as a freind) safe

  • ( BTW THAT MSG WAS 4U

    AhmoseRakimReborn )

  • I think shrimp mixes bogaloo, pop, and robot in this scene... At least that's what it looks like.

  • no, he adds vibrating, boogaloo, and liquiding, and a bit animation

  • don't flame, because i'm relly confused and I'm not a dancer myself (just YT surfer)

what's the difference between styles called boogaloo and popping ?

  • Boogaloo is a type of popping! The Eb's (Electric Boogaloo's ) got the style going, and popping sam created it! (who was also in the Eb's) Type in "eb clasic show" to gain some knowledge on the eb's. And only put in one "s" in "classic" because the person titled the clip wrong lol. Popping has many sub-categories today like ticking, roboting, and strobing, but the thing that makes you a true "popper" is that you hit or "pop" your muscles! ne ways check it out!

  • well, that's what I call a helpful answer

    thanks!

  • so what did you think of the eb's?

  • after i saw it, I can say, thay if i ever happend to see someone doing bogaloo and I wouldn't be told that it is boogaloo, I could recognize it, but still, if I would have to describe in words what differs it from other styles, I couldn't. I probably would give the asking person links to EB and, for example, Nam Hyun Joon videos to see the difference for himself

  • whats the song?

  • It's Kraftwerk - Tour de France..

  • blah blah blah crazy crow waz da best back then he always took out lil shrimp lol seriously stop people

  • yuuuup, its sad he didnt get more recognition...

  • if this style of dancing had the rep these days he would be famous and other legendarys to bad we figure this out at a late time..... but there skills still live long

  • i wonder who would win boogaloo shrimp or bruno falcon?

  • love him! he moves so freely

  • Comment removed

  • he was real sweet i wonder what happened to him.

  • omgggg!! aahaha . so much props man. ahhh old school shit son!!!

  • Turbo is just incredible... one of the best ever!!!

  • clean glidez and clean hitting

  • Tour de France 1983 by Kraftwerk. But this is a redone version.

  • Thanks you so much!!!! That song was the jam

  • what's the name of this song please????

  • WHOOOO! BOOGALOO SHRIMP RULES!!! and im not only on about me though! ;)

  • best popper of our time

  • Kraftwerk - Tour De France

  • that ticking is really clean

  • Crow was tight back in the day what ever happened to him? I remember the battle they had a few battles.

  • what the music call?

  • Doesn't get better than that folks. Absolutely filthy.

To the o.p. that brought up Robert "nobody".....you've got to be joking?!? I've seen Mr Muraines videos/performances. they are "decent" at best by comparison. To say he is better than shrimp just makes you sound silly or like you are only saying it for "shock value" and reactions.

  • I know, really. Robert Muraine's dancing has no musicality. He doesnt even pop. I have a hard time calling his performance dancing. He is talented, though.

  • if boogaloo shrimp see me dance he'll see himself in me,because thats who i got my style from.i call it animation n da flesh.

  • now thats what i'm talkin about!

  • wtf..mvpreppayadigg dont beleive the hipe.

he ant broke..as long as I got money he got money

    KEEP TUTIN ON EM

  • aint nobody fuckin with shrimp period, and i don't give a fuck about him going broke either,ya'll looking the greatest dancer of all time.

  • tour de france

  • whats the name of this song????????????????????

  • Oh please Robert Muraine has nothing on Boogaloo Shrimp. Robert Muraine can munch my ass...

  • hahaha Michael Chambers is a legend homie

  • woop woop!!!!

  • I've got interviews with all of these guys this week on my blog. Google "The Black Hollywood Files."

  • HE WAS ALSO TAUGHT BY A SAMOAN BACK THEN

  • This guy is so damn good at what he does. It's really amazing. Talk about natrual talent.....well, you're lookin' at it.

  • not natural.... he was poppin since he was 4. your right though

  • a Idol ryte here.... my kuzin threw marriage battled shrimp i believe around the late 80's at a holiday inn.... in compton they said it was insane "Hugo" from westminster

  • Nice clip. pull out the cardboard and radio. To add to the comments below, I heard at Studio K, Crow duplicated everything Shrimp threw at him and then went off to his own and finished off with a 1990. Sponsored by Vans, and almost scored a role in Breakin, its hard for me to believe Crazy Crow was "destroyed" as mentioned. Crow had tuts comin from everywhere.

  • no he didnt duplicate.. he tried and it was garbage

  • are you talkin about samoan crazy crow from orange county??

  • yeah, what happened to him? he was pretty tight.

  • Lol im 16 cuz and I know more than any other in this country. Probably more than people from the 80s. Thats just me, 80s lifestyle is way better than now. Yes i can pop and lock. I can somewhat break. Music and Dance is my life. And ima tell u right now, no body is gettin wit shrimp.

  • Hmmm, interesting style. It's like what strobing is for popping, except it's : shrimp compared with the strobe. Nice.

  • ur out ur mind......... hes not even close.. thats like saying a crippled mouse can get with a tiger

  • anyone know the song?

  • tour de france kraftwerk

  • TURBO!!!!!!1

  • farout haven't seen many better..

  • DO U EVEN KNOW WHO CROW IS?

  • PUZZY

  • YEAH SON!

  • Turbo is just incredible... one of the best ever!!!

  • Great combination Kraftwerk and michael chambers!

  • I started poppin because of Chambers. Still the man to beat in my opinion. You go boy.

  • Kraftwerk rocks...best electronic group ever... and boogaloo got sum moves alright

  • This is that fire! He is the truth! Nobody does it like Boogaloo Shrimp(Turbo)!

  • wheres the rest of this video??

  • damn turbo killed it he is one of the baddest dancers every

  • had the privelage to see boogaloo shrimp battle crazy crow at old world hall in hunington beach back in the day one sick battle unfortunatley crazy crow got destroyed that night i will always remember!!!!
