I do not recommend using construction paper for the heart. Construction paper is too flimsy and the heart does not stand up as this one does in the film. (Maybe doubling up the construction paper to make it thicker will help?) Any suggestions on what type of paper to use?

I use colored water color paper or bristol. It's nice and thick. if you can find a red file folder, that can work too.

i think you can do it by cutting the heart shape ed paper in a spiral form....you need it two hearts on each page and then join them in the middle just the way it is done here.
