Interesting! When I was just watching the movie... I had knew for a fact that there was scenes deleted from what I had originally watched as a kid on HBO! One of my favorite movies! Also interesting to see that the more we seem to move forward as a society... The more cencorship kicks in. Soon The US will be like The Republic of CHINA! The are shows/movies from the 70s & 80s that I know for a fact would never get play in there original form today!

Probably it got deleted because they talk about the dirty oil business and the rockefellers...that must have blown the fuse!

What a shame this got deleted. I remember when this was in theaters. This scene would have kept it at the top of the box office for weeks. Just like when they did the original release of The Wizard of Oz with "Over the Rainbow" deleted because someone at MGM thought it wasn't "nice" for a Hollywood store to be walking around in a barnyard as she sang.

Guys Guys your missing the whole thing only the begining of the scene and ending of the scene are on the dvd balieve me i have the original dvd relese and the "special" edition and nither have this whole scene.

also Bgn Nasty (the guy in the red Mack R type with the rough voice) i think he played a gay trucker cause he made a comment about a red headed boy...i'd ride in his truck

What many are not aware is that the first UK dvd was a cut version of the film, so the clip uploaded here was missing from that dvd release. However subsequent dvd releases (mainly from Studio Canal/Universal) fixed that problem

i am a red nick i used to drive a big 18 wheeler and i can say one thing this movie is classic and motivational to every person who has rode in a truck. butt its good to have a laugh once and a while about your favorite movie butt they should never ever take a good scene and delete it

Haha, Pig Pen aka The Love Machine is the best!!! Even though Convoy is a great movie, its not my favorite trucking movie. My fave movie is Smokey And The Bandit, but you have make a great movie posting this. Thank You.

i am glad you got this, if you like i will link it to my c.b radio web site... it is a shame this scene was deleted because i think it is a major plot point and deleting it makes the viewer of the d.v.d film think the convoy had no point. I remember seeing a copy of the film in the late 70's and the senetors chairman had a longer conversation with the mooning guy and the campsite scene was longer. shame they had to butcher it.

@skinheadyellow Yes it was a shame they cut this, as you say it explains a lot of the plot and contains one of my favourite parts of the film when Big Nasty tells Chuck he's 'a pretty little red-haired boy. Wanna ride in my truck?' Classic.

Oh yes I remember this scene from my old VHS tape! But it got lost and it aint on the dvd, is that the only scene missing? I read on the Rubber duck truck site that the directors cut version was 3 hour 40 minutes long, sure wish they'll release that some day!

@Gotesson This is the only scene missing from the original movie. You can see some scenes that whern't used in the movie in the end titles. You can see Bald Eagle (International with Magnavox trailer) trashing a car dealership in Alvarez Truckers Hell. The scene was shot but wasn't used in the movie. I would be great to see the directors cut some day. Just 3 hours and 40 minutes of cimena greatness.

yea i remember reading the same thing ages ago like (guessing) 20 years+ in a magazine( i think it was flicks or video retail magazine it was called) stating there was a much longer version that was nearly 4 hours long,that is Not released,i dont know if anyone else has any info to shine light on this?

the gov't censors had scenes deleted to keep the public

from HEARING THE TRUTH. They mention R*O*C*K*-

E*F*E*L*L*E*R, who is still one of the Oligarchy that
