These phone is built on very high performance for the present word! Phone's today is so powerful they do just about everything. They can communicate at a ultra high speed with no wires. They can take photo's, do advance calculations, process high performance games, store very large amounts of data you would not believe. Trace itself and tell you how it is outside!! Share and receive information just like that. Record and store high definition video like it's nothing. They do everything!!

hey aaron/phonedog,

i've recently ordered (and still patiently waiting for) this phone, and would like to know if this can function on a 2G/3G network? or is this strictly a 4G unit?

i live in australia, home of the dinosaurs of technology, and 4G is not yet commonplace here at all. in fact it's slowly being introduced to the australian market this year.

i will be a first time smart phone user once i get this phone (sad i know), so any advice or tips would be great =)

@giemueluy think the phone will work on 3G Network also, in my own opinion. If there is no 4G network in your area then I believe this phone will kick down to 3G or 2G/EDGE network. This is my own opinion though.

@ericrichard7 thanks dude! hope your statements are true. i researched and viewed a lot of reviews on on this phone, yet all have failed to mention it's functionality on different networks etc. i purchased this phone to get ahead of the rest here in australia. funny how one carrier here has finally introduced 4G (and insane prices), but apparently only to a select few! that's just pure BS!

@giemueluy Well believe me. T-Mobile is not the only phone carrier that has 4G network. Actually, T-Mobile does have more 4G network than any other carriers that I know of. I have friends that uses Sprint 4G and even though their phone is a 4G capable phone it was mostly kicked down to a 3G signal. But my friend now has a 4G phone from T-Mobile (it's a MyTouch 4G) and her's was picking up 4G, 3G 2G even 1X! 4G's is not available in most locations in America either.

Sounds like you got a bad unit - you need to exchange it. Some times defect units get sent out...it happens in every type of phone.

I'm switching to android from a blackberry. I'm not sure if I should get the Samsung Galaxy Nexus or wait till HTC Amaze 4G gets ICS. Which would you guys prefer and why? I know the GN is lacking with the Super Amoled screen, but the HTC has a better camera. Also, the GN doesn't have a microsd card slot... but yet again, I'm used to not using much memory as I come from a BB and have barely filled my 8GB sd card. I guess 16GB is plenty. Both phones are Pentaband right? Opinions needed. Cheers.

Super Amoled is awful. Google "Galaxy S2 blue tint"....

The dark blacks are not worth the blue tinted whites. I have AMOLED. It's just a bad technology. No one would buy a TV screen that had a blue tint over whites - so I don't get why it's acceptable in a phone.

Its not da same cpu as da galaxy s2. Da s2 has a apq8060 dis has msm8260. Dats why the tmobile galaxy s 2 can hit benchmarks up to 3500. Dis one will not go past 2800

My gf recently bought the HTC Wildfire S on T-Mobile and found the onboard memory almost full after just downloading 2 or 3 apps. I realize that some apps can be moved over to the SD card, however, thats not a real solution. In the future, I'd love reviews to speak about how much onboard memory is provided and reference how that might impact the number of apps one may download. This becomes all the more critical as RAM and On Board memory is something the customer cannot expand or change.

However I would like to request that you provide not just what's on the press releases. Manufacturers usually display the features they want to advertise and conveniently omit the ones in which they aren't faring so well. So it may be good to talk about the things they conveniently don't touch on in the press releases or spec sheets, namely on-board memory (not RAM or SDCARD)

This phone looks amazing (no pun intended) but I'm getting a little dried out on android and thinking about making the switch to iOS, even with its smaller screen it would seem that A5 chip is untouchable! Plus I've never tried iOS to its full extent, just messed around with it for a little bit

@asd2one6 I'm sorry A5 is actually on par with most of the high end devices out there. The bottleneck is at the Gingerbread OS. You can google and found users with custom ROM can actually scored higher on benchmark, then again they overclocked it.
