Most everyone can sound decent in the studio, but Peter's voice sounded best when he was singing early KISS tunes like Black Diamond in the early 70's. I always considered Peter an underated drummer but there's a reason why many of his demo songs didn't make it onto KISS records and it had nothing to do with his voice.

I was at Electric Ladyland Studios when Peter recorded this song in c.1980. They used to send me out to grab pies from The Famous Ray's in Greenwich Village. It is clipped from this copy, but there's a recording of Jenilee making baby sounds at the outro of the song.

Peter Criss fan question. How many people liked Petes stuff in the 80's 90's and his latest cd? Just my thoughts but did his solo record in 78 sound better than all of those? I think so, but maybe they need to grow on me.

Peter is not a good writer. But neither was Elvis. If Peter would get others to write for him like on his Solo Record he would have a great record. Peter knows how to sing but not his own stuff. Even Beth was kindda rewrote and the finish is better than the start. When was this song written? You have to take that into concideration. Look at the song writting of AC/DC and Judas Priest at the same time KISS came out. You can say KISS sucked as well. Just sayin. And I love KISS.

Peter is a good singer as long as he has someone write for him. Elvis couldn't write a song to save his neck and he wasn't to proud to admitt it. He had great song writers that knew his style of singing. The diffenance between Peter and Elvis is Peter thinks he is a singer songwriter and a drummer. yes the originals rock but at the Target Center on 11-07-2009 Thommy and Eric were the Space man and Cat man. They were like the reincarnation of Ace and Peter. KISS didn't miss a beat not a note or lyric. They did a Killer 30 minute encor and in when they went into the solo part of Lick It Up they started it with the intro to Won't Get Fooled Again by the Who. Ace and Peter are great but now we have Thommy and Eric. They are the new quaterback and wide reciever now.

He did revive himself with revenge. Unholy and Domino were 2 of the 3 singles from that album and Thou Shalt Not also had a lot of potential.

I am really surprised how good his work on Sonic Boom is. Not a bad song in the bunch.

That's because Peter is generally an under-appreciated member. He has really rockin' tunes and genuine ballads. He isn't without his flaws: him and Ace not staying off the drugs, and being emotionally unstable both of aforementioned damaged the band. For those of yo uwondering when this was recorded, this demo came after Let Me Rock You. It's the Criss/Penridge Alliance. Probalby was recorded around 1983 or 1984. In any event, it was never meant to be a KISS song becasue Peter was out of KISS by then. It was never released becasue Peter didn't have a record deal at this time. When you actually think for a second the answers become clear......
