Seriously, while Smallville is good, I really hate how the writers can simply make a person bad one second, good the next, reveal the character is secretly being good, bad again, character finds redemption, falls back into evil and is killed in the crappiest way possible. Davis deserved a better departure from the show.

I liked how even Sam Witwer was utterly confused by the writers handling of Davis. They built him up to be a decent guy at heart just with an in controllable monster at his core. Davis himself wasn't anything like Doomsday, yet right there at the end they decided, "What the hell, we don't have a story for him anymore so lets just kill him off... and make our three year Jimmy Olsen really Henry Olsen."

Season 8 was amazing right up until the last episode.

I love the vid, but I'll have to disagree with the "Chlavis" concept. I personally believe that Chloe wasn't meant for Davis, but that she really wasn't meant for Jimmy either. And since she isn't in the original comic storyline, I can't say what her real role is or who is meant for her. It seems like her ending (if she has one) won't be pleasant though. It seems like everyone is hinting to her that she needs to get out and have fun and not look at the world through Watchtower.

that if given more time Davis would've have caught himself and let Chloe go but jimmy seeing whats going on after being stabbed by Davis trying to protect the girl he loves didn't allow that. I see where they were going with it and was it the right move maybe not but in terms of the situation it does fit.

I do see where you are coming from and I understand your view. There wasn't continuity but we did and do know that Davis was in love with Chloe and would've done anything to be with her beast or no beast. So when finding out the truth that Chloe never really loved him jealousy showed its ugly face and like the one person he trusted the most and loved turning her back on him jealousy anger and rage took over leading to that ending. Now i do think that if given more time I would like to think

Like you all I liked Davis as well and wanted to see him pull through and triumph over the beast inside of him but sadly to say i do feel the ending does fit for him. After being seperated from the beast he can finally be the one person who "loved" him. To only wake up and find out the one person he trusted and loved was only protecting his "enemy" Clark and having another person turn their back on him he loses it. It fits sadly to say. I wish it didn't but it does.

I hated the season finale for so many reasons. the fight between Doomsday and Clark wasn't as long as I thought or epic, Davis ends up being evil in the end which shouldn't have happened if the black kryptonite was used on him, and I can't believe that the person we've been watching for the past three years was not the real Jimmy. that was really disappointing

i definitely don't think is gonna be the same personality, with such an actor as Sam i believe he is gonna put his mark as zod, you know as evil so it'll be different than Davis itself. but i'll miss Davis so much that it will be wird seeing him as zod.
