I agree with you in some sense. I don't care if her CD is at target, duh it's gotta be sold somewhere. But the whole MTV thing.... I'm sorry but MTV is for sellouts. And where robotic teens hear the music they think everyone else likes so they like it.

To an extent I agree...It's a messed up system.. People listen to the music because it's popular and not necessarily because of the quality of it. The sad thing is that the music industry is a pop industry and so there are those "sellouts" who get their big break and run with it and make some money, and then there are those who play just for the music and can barely get by. Often the musicians from the latter write/perform with greater skill than the former. Don't hate the player, hate the game.

dude, so not a fail. sm58's are the most used mic for all applications. it's got a wide frequency range. it works great for a touring musician. so don't hate!

umm at lest use a 57 58 are designed for vocals not instrumentation. I use condensers all the time live Sure's pencil condensers are great live in my opinion.

Dynamic mics are more ideal. 57's and 58's are near identical apart from a very slight frequency range and different capsules.

you cant runit direct through the speakers it would need to go through a pre-amp system first but i do agree with you, maybe it just sounds better miced? then again it is just soundcheck it might have just been a quick set up so she could hear herself while singing

I love it when you break your songs down to the bare minimum. As amazing as your songs are with all the embelishments and synth and such, they sound much better acoustically or just piano (Pretend reprise is brilliant)
