  • nice one man...check my channel for emx vids.

  • прикольно=)

  • Great demo! I have the electribe & I love this sequencer, with its big analogue sound!

  • super!!!

  • This video was the definite reason why i bought a EMX-1 last weekend. I just recognized that you made the second demosong included with the EMX-1. Great!

  • @Beatprisoner its not one of the demo songs man! just spent ten mins searching for it....

  • @filthybrown

Maybe you got me wrong. I meant that the second demo song delivered with the EMX-1 has been made by Denkitribe

  • @Beatprisoner oh wow cool! sorry man, misunderstanding...where does it say who made the demo tracks?

  • @filthybrown

It's mentioned somewhere in the EMX manual.

  • Well done! Very impressive.

  • I want one of these now...

  • Amazing !!

    Sure is inspiring.

    ;-)

  • sorprendente !

  • Korg EMX vs Yamaha Motif XS ?

  • o__o

This is awesome. Seems good for Techno/House/Trance, eh?

  • LEH-GIT..

  • Thinking about getting one of these electribes to go with my sp 808ex. but still thinking about it. nIce video!!

  • This looks like a lot of fun. I make all my music with software, but god damn if this doesn't look like a hell of a good time....

  • a true pro...

  • They should have this as the advertisement on their website...

  • you sold me on getting one of these. soon!

  • Wowww truly a master of the machine!

  • nothing much...

  • can you take away the drums and do a solo because i might buy one of these, thenks

  • that is amazing dude i so want one of these machines they look ace

  • @Djgyz they are the best korg has to offer imo

  • that is amazing dude i so want one of these machines they look ace

  • this is so perfect - i'm amazed

  • 6 years hard work and experience to be able to make a song in 6 minutes...

  • Sounded quality to me!

  • Pas mal cette petite table!!!;))))

  • That was surprisingly good!

  • Cool video and nice Beat.

  • It was cool!

  • 7:30 in a morning. After all night trying to find some good vid about EMX i'm succeed. Awesome work, made me to make a decision! Cant get sleep anymore

  • I was in a fairly successful metal band for 9 years and countless other rock and metal bands before that ! Now i make trance and electro , house ect . and electronic music is by far ....way way more complicated and harder to make ! i know when people make videos like this so quickly it seems easy but that just because there was a lot of work put into it before hand ! any producer famous or not will tell you electronic music is the hardest to produce and get right !

  • @Flipjunkie1 me and my friends had a rock band and we would freestyle jams and stuff all the time. sometimes we would make up a song as we just messed around. an electronic song, sometimes it takes me 3 days just to get one synth to sound "right" lol. its not as easy as it looks people. and sure you can make a song in just a few minutes. but to make one that sounds good and people actually wanna listen to takes a LONG time to learn how to do.

  • If anybody's complaining that this thing doesn't require talent to use, give one to them for an hour and see if they can make anything decent. Then spit in their face when they can't.

  • @0Genus0 I don't think that's a rational argument. If they can do something in an hour having never touched it before, it would therefore be much easier than an analog instrument like guitar/drums, etc. I've personally been playing bass for 9 years, and drums for going on 3, and I'm watching vids like this because I have no idea how to get started making electronic music, but am interested, as I think both have their place and deserve respect.

  • So what do you do when you want to put a loop in odd time?

  • @thebadbrown You can do any time signature. Your not restricted to anything with these. They are unreal and super fun little boxes. I had one and I sold it and now im getting another I miss it so much, and I have an Open Labs Miko Custom so I surely dont need it.

  • i got one of these things for Christmas! i love it so much!!! i cant wait till i get half the talent you have right now Mr. Denkitribe

  • struggling myself to work this myself....but you are damn good m8 great job

  • I think I've watched this a million times, and I still love it.

  • good job man. I have been thinking bout getting one of these to go with my Korg M3

  • You've got some serious skills dude.

  • wow, everyone is freaking out.

MPC's= a drum machine with sample pads that can eat samples and your instruments to make beats. little other then that.

electribes= a synthesizer (like say, a microkorg) that uses different waveforms and filters to give a desired sound, and can mold to anything you can possibly

imagine, except instead of a keyboard for input, you have buttons. also samples drums.

    Both have memory.

    both are awesome.

    both require skill.

    shut up.

  • That was sick man!

I am damn entertained right now,,. thanks!

  • AWSOME

  • I have one of theese, gifted used, (by my brother who learned it a few but then got bored) But seeing this video, the potential of instrument is great.... I wanted to use it as a drum machine to accompaign me while learning to play guitar, but I think now I will dedicate some time to learn to play this to!

  • nice, even the style isnt quite what i favor.

i had an older gen. green Korg sampler and an rm1x...great fun those machines :)

  • nuuhhhh!!!!

  • i cant wait to get my own one of these, this is amazing

  • Good demonstration. Arigato!

  • yo namba one papa...best performance i've ever seen..

  • I tried copying but only got halfway XD

I'm still not familiar enough with the machine myself..

  • WICKED!

  • Nice skills!!

I'm thinking of getting something like this. My kit is currently a 707 606 and a 303 clone. I guess I need something that can do melodies etc, and replace the dull 707 sounds every now and then.

The Electribe stuff is appealing since it has its own sequencer.

  • So the big numbered buttons on top are the drum machine, and the small numbered buttons on the bottom are the sequencer, and the knobs control cut-off, pitch, ADSR, that sort of thing?

  • nice :) pfff to bad this is not true analog sound :S !

  • @moreausylvain I agree, I pref analog over digi, but you still get a little analog warmth with those vacuum tubes. I own one of these, and it's pretty awesome sounding, depending what kind of tube you put in it.

  • There will be a test for all that you have watched this. I'll just put my F on my test right now. Cool Video! Looks like fun.

  • really nice vid! But what I don't get, is how to fit it into the rest of my studio equipment? I mean I use logic 9 and 2 mid controllers and a mixer! How can i possibly use it with the equip i have already got now?

  • @warriorofhonour For your set up it seems like your already just fine. Although it does not seem like you have any hardware based synths. You can use the Electribe as a virtual analog synth in that case getting you away from the vst's (well at least for one track) IMO a machine like this is used to get away from using a DAW system and im not sure just how free you are with the machine in a MIDI setting. Regardless it would still make a good outboard sound source.

  • You can get it for the ipad for 10 dollars.. HA

  • @kiernanholland But it's hardly as functional as the real deal

  • @kiernanholland Cute attempt from Apple and Korg, but truly not the same.

  • @kiernanholland but the ipad is 500 dollars

  • preety good but to be fair you using the arpegiator for all the synth programming which as demonstrated by you, doesn't take long at all, still quite good sounds though, maybe we should have a sound off,i could see what i come up with in say 4 or 5 minutes!ha ha!

  • Awesome Man!

  • impressive :O

  • J'ai beaucoup aimé. Merci

  • belle music

  • this is so painful

  • awesome man... really cool

  • Woah! just got mine . . . diggin what happens @ 2:15 & again @ 3:45, inspiring. . . cheers!

  • One of the best demos I have seen so far, thank you Denkitribe

  • good stuff ...i love the electribes

  • if i had money...

  • not a guy...i think

just judging by the thin fingers

  • @nhkid1010 He's a guy from Japan. check his profile.

  • AWESOME WORK!

    This EMX is sooo cool!

  • Oh verry good thanks

  • Imma 14 Years Producer from germany! Watch my beats, if you like them, thumb this up!

  • @dightmin it actually takes allot. This is improvising. There's actually allot of crappy electronic loopers out there. It takes skill, knowledge and effort to do some of the good stuff that's out there. Plenty of pop music use electronics.

  • @danfromphoenix not electronics, a real beat machine is an sp-1200. or any mpc. the electribe dosent allow any creativity its all pre made

  • @dightmin so your saying sampling is creativity?

  • @danfromphoenix when you chop and create your own melodies and patterns, absolutely

  • @dightmin then what are the buttons and knobs and shit for?! show!?

  • @dightmin an mpc is just a sampler - which the electribe esx is as well. This one instead of a sampler has a synthesiser. It has just as much skill as anyother electronic component which is a lot. Next your going to say that the Microkorg has no skill requirement

  • nice one had me rockin in my chair

  • Looks like fun

  • Very cool!

  • @dightmin Matrix Resoning.

  • @dightmin Most arrogant shit I've read in a while. Do you know what goes into this? At all? He crafted every single one of those synth sounds out of a basic, raw waveform. That's a LOT more time and effort than it requires to tune your shitty first act guitar or whatever it is that you play that makes you feel so superior. For most, this can be like crafting a sculpture out of a mountain of clay to achieve the sound you want. He crafts four in six minutes. He also nails the drums. So fuck off.

  • @2coofoyoo well i play numerous instruments, but i use a real tool, an mpc2000xl. not a fuckin electribe lol ask any producer, noone uses them!

  • @dightmin lol, fuck your MPC200000009380983904853478539xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxl

gimmie an electribe and I'll craft you a real fucking song, not some shitty hoppity hip clubtech house shit.

also, get the fuck out of here with your "ask any producer" bullshit, only mongoloids that don't know how to make music use producers. D-I-Y Motherfucker.

  • @ColaberMilk hoppity clubtech? get the dick out ya mouth first...lets hear your beats then! they must be so dooope. but ur probly too busy gobbling tiesto's nuts. so ill let u finish...ELECTRIBES ARE THE BEST!

  • @dightmin

    Shoosh.

  • @ColaberMilk hahahahahahhahaahha a noise musician!!!! i almost had a fuckin heart attack lolllllllllllllllllllll!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @dightmin I have an MPC 2K and I can say with all honesty that the Tribes (take your pick) run circles all around those outdated, overrated machines. The ESX alone comes jam packed with effects, a few keyboard parts (complete with LFO's and filters), a generous portion of sampling time and a rock solid sequencer with enough sound manipulation capabilities to make your head spin, right out of the box!

MPC's=pads that wear out over time, awkward ram installation and overpriced add on's..blah

  • @2coofoyoo You´re right- presets have nevert, do not and never will rock, especially if you feel certain that producing, or only even jam on groove boxes means to paste a sound on every button. FULL ON! FX! TUBE! PARTY?

spend more time on listen what you´ ve done...

  • @2coofoyoo haha you dont even know what the fuck your talking about i can make a beat that sounds 3 times better without even knowing what im doing

  • @2coofoyoo

its not really the point here if you can play an instrument or not. its more the fact, that this machine allows even people without the experience of playing a real instrument, to create beats and sounds of this qualitiy in such a shor time. and i think it sounds cool and must bring a lot of fun with it.

well, maybe you can see it also as an absolutely "cool toy for adults who like to play... music"? ;-)

  • @2coofoyoo I lol'd

  • @2coofoyoo i hate to break it to you, he did not create these sounds. he modified them using the controls on the electribe. the real quality of this video is how he melds the sounds together to create a very sick beat. however, every one of these sounds is preloaded onto whatever synth he's using.

  • @crowdawg7768 what do you mean by "preloaded?" as far far as synthesis goes, an oscillator waveform is as simple as a sound can get.

  • @krakatoa47 he knows what he does, he knows the machine, i got one myself so i know what im talking about :

  • @Tecknolix i have one too. they are awesome :)

  • @crowdawg7768 your ilk is so ignorant of the entire realm of electronic music.

  • @2coofoyoo Word! Electronic music is so underappreciated, I don't know if it's good or bad, really. It kind of makes it special.

  • very nice!!

  • good work, fancied getting one of these and the red one, could have a good laugh with those

  • HAX.

  • i have the electribe em1, doesnt have tubes, nor apregiator and shit but it works fine, i need a easy manual, the one from factory its fucking complicated

  • VERY NICE !!!

  • If you have created a beat with the emx can you attach it to a computer to putt on there or something?

  • nice

  • J'aime beaucoup--merci!!!

  • Nice Job!!! It is hard to learn but, you have to practice and try to stay patient. Listen to all the sounds closely. Best piece of electronica equipment on the market.

  • I'm buying one of these soon just to play around with. I have no musical training but this thing is perfect for newbies to learn on.

  • how do you figure?

  • actually, for a youtube video this had pretty good quality.

  • shit is really really really really hard to learn.... I'm still having difficulties learning everything on mine- I'm amazed people can even do this

  • Comment removed

  • @bigghettobooty ... idk, i learned it in like a month, i found it easyer to look at some of the drum lines in the premaid beats to get an idea of how to put them together

  • I have one of these and they are awesome. The Valves are what get the fat sounds. You need to use them loads as its easy to forget the functions. But once you get into the functions you can do almost anything with them. I plugged it into a £5k Yamaha Clarinova and it just sounded awesome.

  • why can't all sequencers be this easy???

I am seriously thinking of trading in my Yamaha Motif XS for one of these or the SX

  • + fucking 1 million!

  • @xesionprince well did you?

  • @jeevespreston Not yet

  • at the end.. to many things is going on.

  • nice, love it, 5 stars! although I prefer the ESX-1

  • Thats awesome i just bought an r3 synth where do u learn to use the electribe? im just learning to mess around with the synth

  • cool

  • i like how korg adopted the vintage roland style knobs like the ones found on the tb-303

  • are there any other synths that any one can recommend?

  • this is not a synth properlly speaking... if you are looking for a nice a versatile synth go for a nord (the lead2 is specially nice and is not too expensive)... korg radias is as well a pretty nice machine capable of many crazy magic (is a bit more expensive than the lead2)... i would recommend those on the digital size (well, a nord micromodular is my favorite, but that is next level)... in the analog side probably the most intelligent would be the little phatty by moog or a desktop as evolver

  • @mynmyself this is a synth

  • @oldcomforter well, is a "synth".. it has oscilators and filters and egs... but is more a workstation/groovebox with a very limited synth (nearly 0 modulation capabilities... not enough lfos nor egs...)

  • @mynmyself

fair enough - I get your point.

I mainly use my mx as a sequencer sketchpad to work out the drum patterns, then later plug the mx into my midi setup and add hardware synths

  • I think it's great too...but it's not as easy as you see..:)

  • you are fucking incredible!!!!!!!!!!

  • fuck yeah!this impro track sounds fucking great!!!

  • thats really cool, actuelly shows how easy it can be

  • damn, dude. real good.

  • omg was für übergange?

  • hot

  • can u only arpeggiate a melody or what?

  • no you can arpeggiate drumsounds too! with the esx1 but i think its the same like emx

  • weniger ist manchmal mehr!!! viel zu viel geschnörkel mit drin!!

  • Super !!

  • man that shits fat

  • U ROCK!!!!!

  • Can you hook a midi keyboard up to that to use? instead of using the pads at the bottom?

  • Yes you can

  • brilliant... great stuff

  • awesome!!!

I thougth, that electribe is a drummachine only. Now I see, that this is powerfull instrument!

  • Profi!

  • o.OMFG - amazing!

  • wow

  • Very quick beatmix indeed, " I'm impressed ".

  • BTW, I got my EMX-1 for $429.95 on a price match at Musician's Friend. They matched B&H price without a whimper. Free shipping. They also price matched on the KAOSS, ESX-1, and KAOSSilator.

  • oh btw, I saw people buying it for ~350 on ebay brand new.

I'm wondering if I can get it for less... lol

  • I buy nothing electronic on eBay, unless I know the seller. Dude, Korg doesn't cut breaks to anyone...and the cost to the seller is right around $410 or so. So, anything less and you are either getting an open box or B-stock...or worse.

  • True... But I've had positive experiences ^^

And I might go for a used anyways.

  • Which reminds me, the official stores don't ship to Canada...

I wonder if they sell this in Hong Kong... Since that's where I live but I'm just in Canada for other stuff.

  • because of this guy, this machine sells used for over 300$ :S

  • Haha, so true! But actually I just paid almost $600 for my used machine here in Europe :D

  • @humansareevil100 its costs way over that in england :(

  • @humansareevil100

Im not shure but i think it's no guy ;P

  • @humansareevil100 seriously??????

  • @humansareevil100 I found mine, beat but still ticking, for 200 :)

  • I get mine (and my KAOSS 3) on Friday. I cannot wait. I will be using mine for composition work and production, not for live performance. ESX-1 and KAOSSilator come next week. Acid jazz here I come. Good tune.

  • wht is that you do on the left of korg ?

is it tempo?or gating effect perhaps?

  • You got skills!
