That's one way to look at it, but another way is that they were two people that were unhappy with their loves..and found resolve in each other's arms, and realized that's how love should be. Then they realize their getting concrete feelings for each other.

Can relate to this song. Sober can have more meaning than being drunk. Could be from the emotion and intensity of the night and come moring when back to reality, where do you go from there. Can be in love with one person for 20 + years and innocently connect with other on so many aspects that you fall for that person to. Invovles more than just sex..it's not just cheating..Dont want to end it but dont want to hurt anyone..it's not so black and white....
