Congratulations pal....you did a tremendous job and plus good music choice. This song is an inspiration for all of us when hard times arrive. Bob Seger is an american treasure....whatelse can be said about good music.
What can I say..................."America" what a great land.
Beautiful timing with the beautiful words........just perfect. Heard it for the first time today and this video brings his words to MY life! Thank You. KS.
great song.great video thanks for posting.I hate it but i think i will never get to see him live in person.great singer he has alot of great songs.im to young reckon pushing 40 now had a chance few years back dont think he sings anymore.
This song makes me happy and sad at once. It's uplifting but it's also telling you things will go on when you're gone, and I don't really wanna think about being gone.
@voodoocat13 No one really wants to think about what will happen when we are gone..I have asked my Kids to play this song to my Grand kids long after I am gone and have them play it to theirs... Love.. Like a good song should never end . It sould be plaid over an over again for all to enjoy.
I'm 65 now and, for many (many) years now, this has been THE song that'a defined how I feel about life! I ighly recommend that anyone 'too young to care' take the time to understand the meaning of its lyrics!
"In Your Time" is an OUTSTANDING Classic by Bob Seger who (IMHO) is a true musical genius! FWIW, he defined my generation and sets an example for all the rest!
Finally, Mr. Mike Ericson, SIR, your video is also outstanding and 'does credit' to Seger's masterpiece! Thank YOU 4 posting!
I have always thought this was a perfect summation of ones life. I have wanted it played at my funeral for many years. I see that others have had the same thought.
@ahawker100 Thanks! It didn't take me too long to complete this. I was able to write up a script in a few hours with a rough idea of the clips I wanted to use. The hardest part was finding suitable clips. I had to shoot and make my own for most of it. But, after the clips were found, then all it took was a couple solid nights to actually create the video.
This is such a beautiful song, BOB wrote this song for his son CODY. it sounds as if BOB is a Prophit from biblical times it is coming true today. Thanks for the Wonderul song.
excellent lyrics, Segar is one of the best at putting his passion across in songs, music to me is all about the feelings, and when an artist can take a few chords and bring a tear to your eye, thats what its all about!
I love the fact that his son (very young at the time), was the inspiration behind this song, so beautiful! Wish I could remember which album that had this song on it. (it was the last song)
I wish there was an official video for this song; Your version is good, but I think Bob's record company should have gone further to promote this track.
one of my favorites from bob segar. you did a great job on this video, i agree it should be the official video for this song. i know he wrote it for his son and i actually used it to video tape my daughter when she was only 2. awesome job.
My mother gave me a a framed picture with the lyrics to this song a long time ago and I never really understood. I just looked for the song and saw your video. It made me grateful that I could call my mother and tell her I love her. Thank you.
I've gone down many miles of blacktop with this song cranking and cracking as the sun rose over one horizon or another. The cadence and driving force and lyrics always give me a boost and a shiver or two. What a fine gift for his son.
Absolutely awesome song,so true the lyrics, had a good friend die of cancer, was played at his funeral as casket came into church, still emotional.RIP Jase.
Cooltot, I just want to thank you so much for posting this song on YouTube. I've been looking for it with no luck, and decided to give it another shot. To my pleasant surprise, here it is. This song reminds me so much of my brother, whom we lost a year and a half ago. I cry every time I hear this song. I can still hear his voice on the phone, hear his laugh, see his face. Thank you so much for this posting...
Nice vid! You chose images that really work with the song lyrics. This is probably my fave from Seger. Every time we get fed up or bummed out watching the news, we should all just play this song, and feel a little better!
Bloody brilliant, had a mate who had this played at his funeral, tore me apart then and now, cancer is a bastard, wish he would do a world tour, great song for his boy.
LOVE your video. Been a Seger junkie since the late 70's. (I've seen him 12 times!) You did an AWESOME job with this! I just wish HE could see it. Stick to it - you have a future!
This was my ultimate road song the summer after I sold an old family ranch in Montana and went looking for lost youth and America. It was exactly the song, with its driving force and foreward-looking message of hope. I love this song with all my heart. Ralph B.
