Huckabee is the only candidate that can unite the country! The "leading" candidates in BOTH parties are more of the same... we need a Great candiate, or a third party win to shape up the Two Major Parties!
Let's assume Ron Paul pulls off the upset and wins the GOP Nomination. Who would be his Vice President? Tancredo and Hunter showed themselves as establishment whores on foreign policy and spending. Gravel is an obsurd choice, for obivous reasons. Maybe Walter Jones of North Carolina or Mike Duncan of Tennessee two obscure congressman that have similar platforms. Maybe Badnarik, Peroutka, or Howard Phillips could give another go. Any thoughts?
I like all the GOP candidates...they all have good points. But personally, Mitt Romney outshines the lot, from both Parties. He donated ALL of his salary earned from his 3-4 yrs fixing the 2002 Winter Olympics, plus he donated to Charity, all he earned in 4 yrs as Governor of MA. He was asked last week if he'd donate his salary if elected President and he said he would. OK, I know that he's rich, but how many other Congressmen/leaders have done similar? None! Go Mitt!
Ron Paul donates part of his salary every year to the U.S. Treasury and dosn't take part in the pesion program for congressmen. and he isn't what i would call rich.
idiot. what do you think donating his(ron paul's) money to the treasury does? lowers(theoretically) inflation and makes your life easier. goes into providing more funds towards social security for the truly needy and to educating dopes like yourself. VOTE RON PAUL OR YOU'RE A RACIST!
All of them are criminals imo. That is, except for Ron Paul. All candidates saw the slandering and censorship of Ron Paul and none of them had the backbone to speak up... what are they scared of?? :)
Yeah Kucinich is a crook for taking all that money from organized labor and defending the constitution. Ok. Paul probably is the best of the republicans, except for his economic policies. Well, half right is a start.
ok, I agree that Kucinich is most likely one of the good guys. If I were to vote democratic, it would be Kucinich or Gravel. Economic policies??? How would abolishing the illegally formed and run IRS, federal reserve, backing out money by gold and silver so to get rid of enslaving inflation be bad economic policies? Not to mention, making trade truely fair and trading with other countries instead of bombing them. Please explain what you mean by saying "except his economic policies". Thanks
If we stuck to the Constitution as written, we would have: no federal meddling in our schools; no Federal Reserve; no U. S. membership in the U.N.; no gun control; and no foreign aid. We would have no welfare for big corporations, or the "poor"; No American troops in 100 foreign countries; no Nafta, GATT, or "fast-track"; no arrogant federal judges usurping states rights; no attacks on private property; and no income tax.
Ron Paul in fantastic, a breath of fresh air.! RON PAUL 2008!
Congressman Ron Paul will be in studio this Friday night (11:00 p.m. ET) for an interview on Bill Maher's "Real Time." P.J. O'Rourke and Ben Affleck will join Maher to discuss the issues with Dr. Paul. "Real Time" is on HBO.

Why would anyone donate their money to the US Treasurey Dept? OMG! Donate it to me...or poorer folk/charities.
Gospellightz 4 years ago
He doesn't "donate" it to the Treasury. He just gives it back to them and it is not part of his salary but part of his office budget.
