Get the total codec pack here (see below). It hasn't failed me yet. There might be some videos on youtube that shows you how to work with "FFDShow" codecs, but overall its not that hard. I sometimes use the ffdshow option in virtualdub with re-rendering a video in full-compression mode.

(control P and select fddshow then F7 to save as whatever you want)

Go to google and type in CCCP, click on the main web address link, then click on the YELLOW tab (2011-07-30), not the green one. Enjoy!

Just a headsup guys - if you are having problems getting this to run in Windows 7, install WinXP in a virtual machine, update the codecs and you should be fine. Mine crashes with 2 cores enabled but it works ok with 1.

His approach is way too clumsy. It's much easier to add a mask to the blur layer and move it any time it's needed, of course you need a better video editor for this.

Also in some companies it's against the law to show private parts. Sometimes if there are pot marks and et al. you can soften them.

I switched to Mac and got a program called ScreenFlow, so if I want, I can just create an image of a blurred out face or something and just slap it on top of the video, but this is also a good way to do it if you're stuck using Windows.
