So, after spending 50 bucks on the fan, and 250 bucks on "what you will need for this project"...

What none of these videos show you is how to clean and lube the motors that will dry out and rattle after a few years. Take it down... take the motor apart and clean with WD40, then lube with 30 weight motor oil... will last about 5 years. These motors will last decades if cleaned and lubed properly.

What about these stupid fans that have no screws to remove the SOB? Are they in the frigging attic? If so. Why? I just want to take it down and clean and lube the rattling SOB. I need to do this every couple of years. These new style cheapo fans do not make cleaning and lubing easy. Why do they always mess things up?
